Blind Item #4

This awards organization was pressured into using the singer of the moment for their show so people could see how great she is. No one thinks she is great. She was manufactured and sold as someone great and won't be anywhere this time next year.

    1. She sounds like every other millennial: Partially comatose and attemptimg to sing while drooling.

    2. Eilish is completely manufactured and it’s painfully obvious she’s been molested frequently and recently

  6. Billie Eilish. Down to awarding her the Bond theme she doesn't deserve. It will NOT bring young fans to the franchise,. #fail

  7. +1 on the Lizzo... she talented, but her music is so pop-bland blah it can't possibly have any staying power.

  10. Lizzo was HARDLY manufactured. I live in Minneapolis. She has been working so incredibly hard, even right in this city, for so many years.

    1. I love Lizzo. Catchy pop nothing wrong with that.

    2. Can understand Lizzo and better than cardi b. Manufactured for big gals?

  11. BIllie has a great look and she rides off that, but her music is kind of boring/over produced and I cant see it holding up.

Lizzo does have talent and personality and she makes good silly pop songs.

  12. Billie Eilish is Enty's new whipping girl. Overhyped, sure, but still a legit talent.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Enty, for the record, how much does the person who has a grudge against Billie Eilish is paying you?

  14. Everybody loves Billie Eilish, who could hate her?

  15. Maybe I'm just getting old but Bille Eilish annoys the hell out of me. Damn kids these days and their music that I don't understand...

    1. You're not getting old, you just prefer your music to actually involve talented musicians.

I think there is about a 50/50 chance os seeing Billie or Lizzo at thr Grannys next year. Both are way overhyped and overrated. This could also have been the singer from Mexico who came out of nowhere.

  17. Isn't Eilish one of Bieber's proteges?

    ReplyDelete
  18. This could describe pretty much any pop music. I know everybody loves Billie Eyelash, and she may not be manufactured, but to me it just sounds like she gets a good beat going and starts whispering.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Zebra, Not likely, he'd need to fix himself first. No Billie has been around for more than a few years.

    ReplyDelete
  20. @MyDog, +1. Of course she is manufactured. They love those satanic overtones.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @nyc, Not a bad guess, she performed at the Grammys and was definitely manufactured:

  22. Agree that this is about Billie Eilish singing at the Oscars. I do think she is likable and has talent, though. However, I'm unsure where her songwriting is without her brother.

    ReplyDelete
  23. how can someone hate lizzo her music is so full of joy and confidence!! billie eilish on the other hand....i find her style of music strange and faux edgy. her and her bro give me weird feelings.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Love the Lizzo and Billie albums, Demi on the other hand is a train wreck...

    ReplyDelete
  25. @LaurenMaye Without a doubt!

  26. Eilish. Comes out of nowhere. Does album in her bedroom. Yet it has several top selling tracks. Satanic imagery everywhere. Talk of suicide. It's all set up for the tragic downfall.

  28. This is Billie and the Oscars. I have no opinion on Billie Eilish - not my cup of tea, but I'm old so who cares. Lizzo is great though - and the fact that her pop songs are actually pop SONGS, will give her some staying power.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Rosalia. Her performance was boring crap. She even had her butt cheeks full out, uncovered, and she still sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ===Does album in her bedroom

    Grimes is still around

The satanic imagery just the thing to jibe with a clothing line for little kids.

That said, her look makes for a suitably little kid look as opposed to JUICY butt mini me streetwalker wear.

  31. I agree with nycgossip as this being Camilla Cabello.

I would not be surprised in the least if Billie Eilish has been manufactured. Avril Lavigne was, and lots of people thought she was a breath of fresh air at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lizzo has ben paying her dues for a while now.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm not fully crazy about Billie but check out her singing I love you on SNL, its beautiful! I think her brother is probably behind most of her songs, but she's definitely not horrible!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Billie Eilish is this year's Lorde. Remember what a big deal she was?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Where's Lorde now? I don't even hear anything about her these days and she was the IT Girl all last year.

  35. Jebus. Seems nobody here understands Billie Eilish AT ALL. And I don't get the Lizzo hype either, but she also appears to have genuine talent.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's funny that people keep bringing up the brother's songwriting when virtually no popular singer today writes their own music. Big deal her brother wrote a lot of the music, other singers are out there sucking old man d!ck or paying big money for new songs.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Here's a video of Lizzo from 6 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He2xBiyqccQ If this is her, it took someone a long time to manufacture her.

    ReplyDelete
  38. +1 CBGB

St. Paul girl here and I've seen Lizzo a bunch of times starting at the Triple Rock like 6-7 yrs ago. She is far from manufactured, she was living out of her car before she relocated to the Twin Cities.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ROSALINA-- why was she even performing? Who even knows who she is?? She will def not be known a year from now. The rest have proved their staying power.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Unknown, Wrong generation for her, but it's okay, millennials are used to getting blamed for everything anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  41. “The homeschooled L.A.-based prodigy, whose debut album of quirky pop was written with and produced by her brother Finneas O'Connell, is undoubtedly talented, but she's also been purpose-built for success in industry, discovered at 13 when her brother -- an actor on the show "Glee" -- helped her hire an A&R "packager," a publicist and a stylist to develop her unique persona. She was signed to a division of music giant Interscope Records by age 14, and by 15 had contributed a song to the soundtrack of the cult Netflix teen hit "13 Reasons Why."

In the 70's, the Grammys were about music. Sure, maybe the music was simple. "How Deep is your Love". "Just the Way You Are." "Evergreen". But, it was good music. It shared a message of love and light.
No secret symbolism. No dancers with horns.
    Just music.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Billie Eilish's mom is an actress and screenwriter, her father's an actor and her song BAD GUY is THE song for the Oscar nominated film Bombshell.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Daryl-- Give me horn players who happen to dance, rather than dancers with horns, ANY DAY!🎺🎶

Brayson--I like Eilish and think she IS talented, Im not attacking her in comparison to her peers who pay for tracks, just saying I personally wouldn't be labelling her a prodigy/future star for the ages without knowing if she were the primary songwriter. I do have to say I'm a bit discouraged by this blind and the entry Murph cited.

Despite the social media and other non-musical overexposure, I think Lizzo is great. I enjoy melodic songs, and enjoy her voice and musical talents.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Let's face it. Eyelash is the new Lorde. They're the baby geniuses who are gone after one album. Both were over produced and completely manufactured. Think it's a coincidence that both were lauded for their "quirky style", oddball dance moves, and they both "hit" at the same age?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Might be: Camilla Cabello (Sidenote: I don't understand the fascination with super-manufactured Lana del Rey either)

Is definitely not: Billie Eilish (talented af)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Can someone explain what manufactured means, in relation to singers/celebrites? Thanks in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  48. How is Lizzo not called Fat Lizzo on this site, but MM is?
Not a MM fan or sticking up for her, but one is definitely fatter than the other, yet never made fun of?

    1. Big gal would be more fitting . Agree with Rosalina. Never heard of her and why was she there? More appropriate for Latin grammys

  49. Billie Eillish... don't get the hype at all

    ReplyDelete
  50. Lizzo for sure.. She will probably have a heart attack before next year. She is repulsive.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Billie Eillish and her Depressed Girl schtick. Thing is, I like some of her music but it's not unlike the chillounge music I was listening to several years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I liked Billie Eilish better when she was Lorde and Fiona Apple, but I have no strong emotions one way or another.

Also, Lizzo is obviously morbidly obese. What's the point in addressing it? She'll either lose a crap ton of weight soon or head down Diabeetus Highway.
    That's on her.
