This showrunner wanted to make the reboot of this classic show more ensemble like. That A- list actress who got her start on the show wanted no part of that and wants it focused on her. She already does an ensemble show. So, she does what she does best and had the showrunner fired just like she had the actress back in the day fired for taking too much attention away from the star.

ReplyDeleteWould Thiesen or or Duff REALLY have or hold enough power to do so? WHO wants to see a Lizzie reboot? I think these are ALL BS because no actress would have this sort of power in making a former star vehicle an ensemble other than MAYBE Buffy but then again... who knows? SMG no longer wields this kind of power unless the showrunner is new/newer and she makes it a deal breaker.

ReplyDeleteshes’s too dumb to realize that the ensemble part was a big reason why everybody loved the show that was young enough to watch it at the time. They didn’t watch it just for Hillary duff and the character Lizzie. The cast made that show. If it had been exclusively focused on her character without any inclusion of other characters, it wouldnt have made it past season 1. Her ego and diva antics may have made sense in 2005, but not 2020. Her career only lives on because of millennial early 2000’s nostalgia. Otherwise she’s just another costar & she’s lucky she even has a job right now on Younger. That will Not last forever. Lalaine, unless bound by a stupid NDA, should spill the tea publicly. Duff is the reason she wasn’t in the feature movie and isn’t in this reboot… People really want the Lalaine’s character back & don’t understand why she’s not. Ugh sorry this comment is too long. That’s what happens when you dictate into your phone comments…
