Blind Item #8

This former A- list mostly movie actress who walked away from it all when she started hooking up with the A+ lister makes it seem as if it is a voluntary thing she isn't acting any longer. It is voluntary in the sense she is paid to stay home with the kids and not work.

  1. Mendes....there was a blind like this before,right?

    1. Was she in Miami video of Will Smith?

  2. Damn, she hasn't been in anything since 2014. Gosling's got her on lock.

    1. And they Blame Tom Cruise for Katie... Gosling is worse!

  3. So she's on Gosling welfare then?

  4. The description is how Enty usually describes Eva, but I’m going with Blake Lively to be different

  5. Can't be Blake. She has a new movie coming out soome, right? I'm going with Eva Mendes. She wasn't a good actress anyway, lol.

  6. Is there a sense in which it isn't voluntary?

  7. Is there a problem with staying home if you can afford it?
I wish someone had paid me to do so.

  8. Blake is still working steadily. Going with Eva.

  9. How about Eva wants to be a responsible mom and gave up work to raise them correctly because she doesn't need the job or work taking time away from the kids? No??

    1. I agree with Sandybrook. I would live to get paid to stay home and take care of my kids.

  10. This is Eva. She responded to a commenter yesterday who asked why she’s no longer acting, or something like that. DM has the article. Her response didn’t make sense & everyone in the DM comments trashed her.

  11. Is Ryan Gosling really A+ list? I was thinking the Thor Hemsworth brother (Chris?) and his wife. But she’s not known in the US so 🤷🏼‍♀️

  12. MeltiticusBee- Nope, but lots of people want you to think there’s a problem with it. But that’s their issue and staying home is THE BEST.

  13. This isn't the first place I've read that Gosling is making her turn down parts. And moms who work outside the home are not doing irreparable harm to their kids. It's fine. Maybe she should look for TV work, that would be consistent.

  14. Just to be different I'm gonna say Phoebe Cates.

  15. Gosling is a tool. Why can't be 'alternate' with her? he takes a role, then she does or even (with how hot his career is, he takes two to her every one then HE gets to see his kids too!!!! Unless he is paying her as the nanny too and no real marriage, but a cover) ..... There are ways for Hollywood to make it work. Kids can be on set with nannies. There is often downtime. Working on a series, say a semi-regular role or a guest role is a short stint and home at night. More to this stupid story!

  16. She strikes me as a woman who would want to stay home with her kids. They have three now right? They both shun the celebrity scene and seem happy and content with their lives together.

  17. Women are allowed to make the CHOICE of staying home with their children especially when they young and mama and papa are loaded with millions. Also, she use to have a line at Anne Taylor Loft? Does she still now?

IDK. She avoids the red carpet and the Hollywood shit show. It does not have to be "nefarious" of why she does.

Damned if you and damned if you don't.

  18. Sounds like a win/win situation. I would be thrilled if someone paid me not to work, and I actually like my job. I’d just love free time even more.

  19. Isn’t she a strong and independent womyn? How can an evil man “make” her do anything? Doesn’t make sense!

  20. The only sad part is that she is much better than he is, trees are less wooden than his acting.

  21. Cates is a great guess but their kids are grown.

  22. Everyone can thank good ole feminism for frowning down upon
staying home and raising your children and running your household. Society is out of fucking order.

  23. Nah, kiki, we'll be fine if she stays home and out of sight.

  24. @obsessed: Noticed that anyone on twitter who proclaimed their love of husband, kids and staying at home were booted off.

  25. big time doormat eva Mendes- way to give your girls issues w/men down the road w/that upbringing.

He still got the baby in Canada w/McAdams sister raising it & hey is emma stone done w/his dick yet? he doesn’t deserve her. Also I’m baffled ppl find him really handsome/attractive. He’s very normal looking to me. He’s a great actor I think in some things but other times his face doesn’t really...do anything? 😂

  26. Nice try Enty, but I literally JUST read that Eva is auditioning again. And honestly, if someone wanted to pay me to stay at home I'd totally take them up on it.

  27. I
Gave up my career to stay home with my three kids and I have no regrets . They are all successful adults today and I think it was partly my guidance and support . It is the hardest job on the planet and I’d do it again 😊

  28. @LaMorena excellent job!!! My children are grown adults as well, I decided to stay home with all four of my children for their first two years of their life, I struggled and took state assistance for it, because we could not survive on one income. I do not regret it and happy I did.
With my fourth child, dad and I decided to work opposite schedules for someone to always be home for the children. Feminism fucked shit up!!

    1. Exactly how did "feminism fuck shit up" for you? I see you've enjoyed my hard earned tax dollars to raise your kids tho...
      You're welcome.

  30. La morena and obsessed- +1. I’m lucky my husband told me I never had to work. Nothing is better than staying home and taking care of your family. Not that I care how others live, if someone wants to work, cool. Their choice. But the vast majority of those strong and empowered career women, are really hateful towards women that chose a different path. Especially if you have “too many” children. Their inexplicable nastiness about other people’s choices, never made me feel like I was missing out on anything, or made me want to take that path.

  33. Nope but I’m not begrudging it. Sometimes people need help. I have never taken a penny in any government money or any program at all, so I have no personal stake in it. We pay high taxes and my parents are very well off and they paid high taxes as well. I’d say I was very privileged as a child and am very privileged as an adult. I don’t love financially supporting others but that’s how it is and I’m not mad about it. Especially when it isn’t a permanent thing, just temporary.

  34. Mendes cannot be A anything.

  35. I used to believe the ‘Gosling forcing Eva to stay home narrative.’ But I have a friend in LA who knows her and said that she was not only caring for her children, but also caring for her brother who ultimately died of cancer, and then grieving his death, and that it was her choice. And yes, she still has her fashion line. I believe it’s with New York & Co.

  36. @rosie and @chillax I’m sorry you feel that way, I think I’ve helped a few people here and there with my hard earned money. I’m sorry you feel choosing to have a family is asanine, and feminism fucked shit up because the govt thought it a good idea to allow women in the workforce and tax your dumb feminist behinds and raise the cost of living since now there’s two incomes in the household, you’ve been dumped and your dumb ass fell for it, so I’ll happily NOW take your hard earned money!!!

  37. You’ve been * “duped”

  38. Years ago Eva was famous on this site for having a putrid below the belt scent. Maybe she is self-conscious, or doing the acting community a favor.

  39. There are quite a few sadsacks passing for men here.

  40. There isn't anything wrong with a mother staying home to raise the kids. More people should try it. We might be surrounded by less entitled, narcissistic, snowflake assholes.

  41. There were blinds for years about her CHOOSING not to work so she can monitor him and potential cheating. Now it's the opposite and there have been several of these blinds worded differently in the last month. So which is it?
