Blind Item #9

Apparently it is perfectly fine to use ghostwriters 95% of the time but still get inducted into the songwriter hall of fame. It is amazing what money will buy.

  5. Most halls of fame are bs anyway, makes sense. I had never even heard of the Songwriters Hall of Fame before this blind.

    1. Rock n roll hall of fame has gone to pot anyways- I saw two not even remotely rock n roll groups being indicted with depeche mode... which is also not really rock n roll either?

  6. @Brayson87, sure you have, when Halsey got an award last year there was a blind!

  7. I bet you've never heard of the CDAN commenter Hall of Fame either, Bray?

Yet for a small fee of $4000 you could join the CDAN luminaries. And for an extra pittance of $7500 you might find yourself eligible for the Amazing Quotes Commenter of the Year prize.

All entry checks made payable to Cdan Appreciation and Salutation Hall, its a bit of a pain to write all that out, so just use the initials instead. And send c/o Flashy V Enterprises Ltd, PO box 135, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies.

  9. @Guesser, Really? I guess her 15 minutes are up, I mostly only remember that she had some songs and gained her inspiration from her hard knock life in suburban New Jersey, the mall was rough yo.

  10. @Vic, Actually it's the CDAN Hall of Shame, and we're all already members for wasting our time with this gossip sh!t. ;)

  11. Oh Tricia gets credit for coming up with that Halsey mall joke. :)

  12. Funny you should say that, Bray, because co-incidentally checks are also accepted for the CDAN Approbation and Shame Hall. Same fees and I structions aplly, blah blah blah.

  16. Did Whitney Houston write her own songs? I believe she will be inducted this year too.

  17. Whitney did not write her own songs.

  18. Mariah - never wrote that Xmas song. And Dolly Parton still hasn't been inducted.

  19. Whitney had musical nous and helped arrange the vocals and tell the producers what musical arrangement she wanted on her songs. Video evidence of this BTW. She was a real artist. Certainly deserves a co-write. Yet alone her HOF nom.

  20. longtimereader - Whitney "Certainly deserves a co-write", ridiculous claim, no she doesn't.

  21. Well, that's what money does, I don't like Mirah but this is a none story. If you genuinely thought she wrote her own music then you likely have the IQ of a chair.
