This A list movie director who often works with many of the same actors and actresses split with his foreign born actress wife when he was caught cheating. It turns out, when she was filming that massive franchise, she took every chance she could to try and hook up with the young actors starring in it.

And the answer to the blind is Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, with Harry Potter being the franchise. It just takes googling "directors married to actresses" to get a short list.

ReplyDeletePaul W.S. Anderson, Tricia's "guess" is foreign born and has actually made most of his career in Europe, using the Babelsberg studios in Berlin for B-budget genre movies.
Len Wiseman has directed only two Underworld films, and something like four films in all.
Uma Thurman isn't foreign born;
Burton often uses the same actors: Vincent Price, Danny De Vito, Johnny Depp, HBC, Eva Green, etc. HBC was in five different Harry Potter movies, which were part of a huge franchise involving young actors.
