The rule is everyone goes and no one talks about what happens inside the walls. It is a very well known AA meeting. The biggest of the big celebrities attend, but homeless people and those scratching on a daily basis to get by are there too. It is the great equalizer and everyone knows the rules. Apparently the permanent A list mostly movie actor got tired of those rules though and tried to ban everyone who wasn't famous and then tried to get people to stop attending and instead have the meeting at his place. The actor is not well liked for his actions.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely not RDJ who is incredibly respectful and supportive of the recovery community and all walks of life in it. My guess is this is someone who struggles with their sobriety, because fighting the rules of the program is not surrendering at all,

ReplyDeleteDon’t buy the blind as worded. Logic dictates that the perm A list celeb would simply try to hijack his celeb friends to have their own group at his house. Illogical to try to sabotage something well established so doubt it happened. Think this is Pitt. He sure has name dropped the most famous members of drunk club for their help in recent acceptance speeches. Tony. Coop. Seems to only value stars.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, both Brad Pitt and Affleck have respected the rules of Drunk Club. Pitt would have never mentioned Cooper or RDJ without their permission and they have already declared themselves publicly sober anyway.
What they do behind closed doors of the recovery community is a different question.
This is definitely an LA meeting.
Could be Pitt who knows.
