As much as I can't stand these two, corporate speakers don't typically cover the security costs. However, I do hope other places thinking of hiring them (for whatever misguided reason) get wind of this and go with someone who doesn't require international security. ReplyDeleteI've been to a soiree or two put on by millionaires/billionaire (only one of those), and no one asked me to chip in. My bosses were invited guests/speakers and/or honorees....don't recall getting a bill on any of them.....

DeleteCars are allowed on the tarmac under special circumstances. Used to take same Monday morning flight to LA with the governor aboard. A car came right up to the stairs. It's preferable for the airport authority to NOT let a high-security flyer wander thru the airport. Too many crazies..

ReplyDeleteInteresting how elites call their public assistance 'security', 'speaking fees', etc, while the rest of the world calls it 'welfare'. Let's face it, Harry has no real skill. He won a genetic lottery and was born into a life of privilege. Not a knock on him, just reality. Markle on the other hand, is a hustler and seemingly has planned and executed this scenario rather well. She is also talentless but her greed is driving her actions. I don't see how anyone outside a small circle of elites, who are desperate to glom onto anyone famous, would care about these non-royals any longer.
