Usually statements apologizing for having to cancel tours are perfunctory and have no feeling. The foreign born former A list singer who may or may not be a replacement, is genuinely sad to cancel a huge leg of her tour because they were the only ones buying tickets. In the rest of the world, no one is really interested in seeing her and ticket sales reflect it.

Avril is very popular in Asia, which is common for a lot of US artists who are no longer relevant here.
