Celebrities can have mentally unstable children just like the rest of the world. It's no indication of harm from the parents, and the daughter in this case has said as much. She's never blamed them. The girl is an adult and it's always a tricky situation with famous parents. I'm sure they tried to shield her growing up. I didn't even know anything about her until the declaration of becoming a porn actress.
Can you stop making up all these crazy QAnon conspiracy theories and just take the information as you know it?

Why have neither parent addressed the grooming/sex abuse claims? If they knew of it at the time, they should have been outraged. If they are only finding out about it now, they should be outraged. If they don't believe her (sorry, but I'd never doubt one of my children if they made such a claim until it was proven otherwise), they should say so. Instead all they did was say they were "embarrassed" and "concerned." It doesn't add up.

Aw yikes that's really awful. I was a troubled teen myself and my poor mother, I put her through hell but she really really tried to help me. Thankfully I turned out okay, largely because my mom always always loved me. Tough times.
I think it could be reasonably assumed the Spielbergs may have adopted her out of a bad home (?) because perhaps she was (I don't know) a toddler in an abusive dangerous household (again I don't know) but such origins can really screw someone up for the long run.

What bothers me is that if you adopt a child that had at best a “troubled” childhood, you need to put in the time to be a parent!
