Today's Blind Items - Come To The Ranch

This back in the day A/A- list mostly television actor who hit network gold a couple of times in his career was caught up in some really bad scandals with the tweens and teens that populated one of his shows. On an earlier show, that really made his fame, he sexually assaulted multiple women, but none came forward because they didn't think they would be believed and they did go on a date with him, so they knew what would be said about them.

On a later show though, things went younger. There were not very many legal age women on the set. One teen was about 14 when she went on the show and had a line or two. She wanted to be an actress and our actor took her under his wing and said he could get her more lines the next week and get her a main cast role if she would let him coach her. He did every day in his trailer for about a month. When she told him she was pregnant, he freaked out. Had she told anyone? No. He invited her to go to a horse sale that upcoming weekend and they could talk about it more. She went and at some point when they were looking at horses, she ended up behind one and the horse kicked her in the head and she was killed. Was it an accident? Did our actor, as an expert, maneuver her into a vulnerable position? The autopsy didn't indicate she was pregnant. Was she? Was it a cry for attention? Whatever it was, she ended up dead. It didn't stop our actor though.

  2. Yeah that's what I thought due to the horse reference Michael Landon.

  3. Although the only ranch that counts is Dr Phil's :)

  4. I know he has/had a ranch: Miami Vice and Nash Bridges for the network gigs.?

  5. Not Robin his father Alan my bad

  6. I was thinking Michael Landon, too...Little House had lots of young cast and extras. Whoever this is, holy crap!

  7. Never a whif of scandal about young girls with Michael Landon. Every biography about Little House I've read always speaks glowingly about him. He liked to drink and have fun on set but never sniffed around young girls.

    1. He has been the subject of similar blinds hasn't he?

  8. I hope you're right, Countervail!

  9. I have horses and I don't believe this story. Horses very rarely kick human beings and most of the incidents are caused by the human doing something abusive to the horse. Toddlers sometimes get killed from a kick because they're down there at hoof level when the horse kicks at a fly or whatever. A 14 year old getting kicked in the head just walking behind a horse sounds like a story made up by someone who doesn't know anything about horses.

Now, have guys knocked women in the head and staged the body in with horses to look like a kick? You bet. But at an auction there would be too many people around to pull that stunt.

  10. Hats off to parents who let their kids work in Hollywood!

  11. "Cry for attention?" No, a cry for money if this story is even true.

  12. I immediately thought Michael Landon. This is extremely disheartening and sickening.

    1. My first thought too @nobody. Nasty ass attitude towards women but way too pampered to be a horse rider.

  14. On the other hand, Landon was also known equally as a producer. This is probably not him. Arngrim and Gilbert both have had very nice things to sy about him.

  15. This screams Michael Landon .

    1. He impregnated his wife Lynn many times. And those if you who don't believe it, this scummy guy dumped his mother for overdone makeup artist on the set. Real nice guy yup

    2. The mother of his kids...not his mother.

  16. ridiculous. you could never be sure that would work as a way to kill someone. fake blind.

  17. This is such bullshit. I can't think of a dumber way to murder someone. This "plan" would be Tonya Harding/Jeff Gillooly/Shane Stant level of idiocy.

  18. Time to invoke enty’s disclaimer about this being an entertainment site.

Melissa and Allison would have spoken about Landon.

  20. I think this is fake, and if not, definitely not Michael Landon. There is absolutely NO WAY Alison Arngrim would not have spoken up. Melissa as well.

  21. How about Michael Landons's co-star on Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven---Victor French?

  22. It pains me to type this:

    William Shatner. A noted horseman

    ReplyDelete
  23. or Merlin Olsen also on Little House on the Prairie and then Father Murphy?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Shatner? Where there really a lot of tweens and teens in Star Trek?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Another possibility---Larry Hagman of I Dream of Jeannie and Dallas

    ReplyDelete
  26. William Shatner? Can't think of any show that was heavy with teens and Tweens. Merlin Olson or Scott Baio A/A-?

Landon hit network gold three times. That is more than a couple.

  28. Landon hit network gold 3 times, not two, and Bao just once, Charles in Charge was syndicated, the Happy days spinoff bombed...

  29. @KittensRUs is right on. I grew up with horses and Enty's implication that the actor's murder plot was to have a horse kick this teenage girl in the head on command is beyond bizarre.

  30. Y’all need to leave Michael Landon alone!

    1. Treated his first wife like garbage. Suuuure

    2. I never heard anything about that. That’s pretty sad, but all failed marriages have dirty stories... I don’t have any inside stories about Landon. The few people I know who knew him always said he was a saint. While he may have been a shitty husband, I find this Blind hard to believe (if about him.) Cheers!

  31. Not Michael Landon, I lived next door to him and his second wife in Encino, CA and was good friends with his step the Cheryl, he was never weird or sketchy, never. Nice man. Played and swam in their backyard. Nope.

  32. It's definitely not Michael Landon. I worked in the industry and never, ever heard anything about him, and I heard plenty about sick, perverted actors and actresses, trust me, I was warned several times not to take a job on someone's set because of the gossip. It's not hidden for long. Micheal was one of the good guys and does not deserve any sick fantasizing about his character so knock it off.

  33. baio fits...but surely this would have been big f---in news. back in the day must mean 50-60s. Robert Conrad? altho his shows were mostly men. how about Fish?? LOL

  34. Abe's spinoff show was all teens!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I grew up with horses and came here to say this is EXTREMELY unlikely.

It would be almost IMPOSSIBLE to orchestrate this just right unless the real story is she was hit in the head and later claimed it was a horse kick, this would be more likely.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm pretty sure the closest Abe Vigoda ever got to a horse was a betting window.

    ReplyDelete
  37. William Shatner is an equestrian and has rode horses in several of his shows. And has hit network gold multiple times. I hope it's not him.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't know @daneff, The Godfather featured a "horse killing."
    Did Tessio handle that??!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's not Larry Hagman. In the prime of "Dallas" he was the biggest TV star on the planet - way bigger than A/A-.

Also lots of these guesses are ignoring "There were no very many legal age women on the set." Shatner was never on such a show. "Dallas" definitely had all legal age women. Victor French and Merlin Olson seem like maybe the best guesses, and Landon was also a A/A+ in his prime.

  40. Michael Landon did leave his wife, Lynne and SEVEN kids for a young makeup artist, Cindy.

    1. Huge scandal back in the day. Always thought he was a jerk and hated that show. I liked bonanza and pernell roberts.

  41. What about David Hasselhoff? Plenty of messes in this Baba Louie's life, plus there was Knight Rider and Baywatch. Thank God no one said Bea Arthur, (tee-hee!) who would be exactly as likely to be the answer to this blind as Michael Landon. Don't worry about this "possibly" being about Michael Landon. No way, José. He had his mix-ups, but over women, not over young 'uns. He was human and lived through his ups and downs and also, he was humane.

    ReplyDelete
  42. when exactly is "back in the day" - thats 50's 60's in Enty? isn't it?

    ReplyDelete

  43. "Studio54 said ... Michael Landon did leave his wife, Lynne and SEVEN kids for a young makeup artist, Cindy."
So what? Their marriage ended, you have no idea what the relationship was like and no idea about his involvement in his kids lives after moving out, simple minded gossiping twit.

  44. I really dont think the Fish guess is getting the consideration it so richly deserves.
if Tessio handled the horse head in Godfather 1 I think we have our smoking gun!

  45. Calling BS on this one. Spent a lot of time on and around horses and this would be extremely rare; like she would have to be sitting or laying on the ground and even then....

    ReplyDelete
  46. Michael Landon should be permanent A list, this actually sounds like someone still alive.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I too have horses. I actually run a home for unwanted horses who I rehab and find homes for here in Australia.

I currently have 18 horses. I have been kicked once while feeding, recieved a broken arm and a squashed foot by a scared, young filly.

Unless the horse was prodded or forcefully scared, he/she wouldn't kick out on command.

So many actors ride, Robert Redford, Paul Newman are 2 more but I'm sure they would be considered permanent A list.

  48. Y'aaaaallllll if this is true it is awful. And Landon does seem to fit the majority of clues. But yikes.

  49. It is not Michael Landon. Period. It is not Merlin Olsen.

  50. Google child sexual exploitation on the Little House set.

  51. i agree with @nobody that it's Scott Baio. Happy Days was a huge hit. Joannie and Chachi was not, but Charles in Charge was one of the biggest syndicated hits in the 1980's.
