In a world of really bad pilots and hopes and prayers some new television show will be a hit, there was a network that had a surefire one. It was a spin off of a very popular long running comedy on that network. The original had a huge cavalcade of stars. The spin off had this alliterate A- list actress/director/multiple Oscar nominee who was really only an actress at that point. The pilot was a huge hit. The show was going to be a huge hit. It was a guaranteed money maker. So, why was the show never made? Our actress wouldn't sleep with the head of the network. He took it personally and wouldn't give the show a series order.

ReplyDeleteI doubt it. This is a world with many actresses but few guaranteed huge money maker hits. Even if one network head really did have his head that screwed up, there'd be other interested parties both inside and outside of his organization to pick up the ball and run with it.

ReplyDeleteThe clues fit, but people might be forgetting that HIMYM had a worse last season than Game of Thrones. Like I was glad the mother was dead, it was so awful. That's not a spoiler, everyone knows the main story sucked. It was Barney, Marshall and Lilly who kept that thing afloat.

it is how i met your mother. people seem to be forgetting how big that show was and how many big guest stars came on. not to mention that even at the time it started segel, patrick harris and hannigan *were* pretty big stars. gotta agree with brayson that the last season was terrible. i'd kinda lost interest a couple seasons before that but the last season was probably the worst last-season of tv i've ever seen.

ReplyDeleteGreta Gerwig lol she’s no moral compass. She doesn’t deserve to be harassed obv no one does but it’s funny how she’s made the whole feminist pro-women stories but Look at what her & Baumbach did. It takes a really selfish cruel person to be ok with that.
Also, Gerwig supported Woody Allen until it wasn’t ‘cool’ to do so.

ReplyDeleteIf only we would get a more informative item. Sleep with the wealthy head of CBS? Sure thing, if that was it. Perhaps she had to give him oral sex every week the show was on, at his office and not in a hotel after a fancy dinner. And it was not just him but a few of his friends. Because, if she agreed, potentially, she could be making 6 figures a week. It must have been a deal so bad she had to say no. Her morals are questionable, so it was not that she wouldn’t have sex with a married man.
