Blind Item #3

This former back in the day NBA player who was probably A- list just on name recognition is Mormon and has four sister wives and a "bunch" of children. The tipster didn't quite know the number, but it is more than a dozen.

  1. I have no clue who Ainge or Chambers are. I have heard of Shawn Bradley.

  3. Danny Ainge or maybe Jabari Parker?

  4. Danny Ainge played for the Boston Celtics back in the early 80's through mid 90's. He's now their general manager. He did go to Brigham Young so he's a good possibility.

  5. "Back in the day" and "mormon"
So...no young people, and very little chance this is a black guy as only one of the "tribes" has blacks - and their early teachings taught that their skin is black due to falling from heaven and getting burned...the "curse of Cain" or the "Curse of Ham"

    1. Tell that to Gladys Knight. I cant believe she is a Mormon. Argued with some mormons back in the day about this and they were shocked I knew about Moroni and the B of M. I told them, well in Private school we have a course called Comparitive Religon with speakers from each religon.

    2. Mormons opened up the doors to POC about twenty five years ago. How any self respecting person of color could be a part of this religion is beyond me

    3. @Meticulous Bee

They originally taught us coloreds can’t get into Heaven no matter what we did.

Mormonism is so ridiculous I can’t understand how anyone would fall for it. $cientology makes more sense.

  7. Mormons don't practice polygamy. RLDS (the re-formed, rebel faction) do.

  9. Hard to believe this is Danny Ainge, who lives in Boston and is the Celtics GM.

So maybe Shawn Bradley, who played at BYU and actually did his Mormon mission. Bradley was not a great player, and his name recognition was basically they every good player in the NBA tried to dunk on the skinny 7-4 center during his career.

  10. The timing makes me think Ainge as he was featured in The Last Dance documentary about the 97-98 Bulls on ESPN last night. I know he has 6 kids with his wife but clearly he could afford to support more.

  11. Can you imagine 4 freaking wives??? I watched Sister Wives because the crazy was intriguing. It left me feeling sad and dirty.

  12. @Rosie - no - the mainstream church opened it up to POC, the ones who marry themselves four wives is a different offshoot.

The 4 Wive Crew is also likely the ones involved in Enty's white baby ring we've read about.

  13. Scottie Pippen has been in the news the last few days.

  14. Lance Allred? He was raised in a polygamous cult and may be better known for books and a TedX talk. May have drifted back in. He is listed as divorced with one child but who knows if this is a secret?
