In return for their donation, this brand new museum had to agree to never screen any movie made in Taiwan. It also had to agree to never screen any movie banned in China. Considering how desperate they were for cash, they would have agreed to anything. This was a group that had this foreign born A- list mostly movie actress who is an Oscar winner/nominee sending out pleas for money from actors who are lucky to make five figures in a year while her husband could have paid for the whole project and wouldn't have missed the money.
