Today's Blind Items - Getting the Help You Need - A Dancing Boy Public Service Announcement

What A (from the previous story - Thirteen) and more famously B went through with their c’s just seemed like maybe not the answer in the end - the latter one sparked a movement, of course, ultimately/thankfully successful. But you know sometimes these arrangements are in fact in the best interest of the person under one - particularly if you’re a survivor of serial abuse still struggling with use and mental illness. What you’ll see in the forthcoming dancing boy series - the more serious one - is what it is like to live under one: the having your backpack searched for drugs when you get home from work, the having your mouth searched to make sure you really did swallow all the meds. Yes, it kind of feels like twelve and thirteen again, but sometimes…it’s for your own good. Mercifully, the one with authority over me is not a family member, but a trusted mentor - and yes, a Hollywood person.

What you might also see is literally (ie not a dramatic reenactment) the same procedure done to me without my consent at 14 - the one from the very first dancing boy blind. The reason? Because when done with the full understanding and permission of the patient it is actually quite effective in treating certain conditions, including my own (which is a combination of the one from the Opie flick and the one with the two poles), and it is often misunderstood. It isn’t this violent thing - at least not in the West - and they don’t strap you down to the table (okay, they might, but that was because you were acting up).

Who is the one kind of doctor that will be overseeing it? I’m not sure there’s a whole separate show in the works - maybe a sort of demented sequel to the previous one about…treatment - but that’s maybe/largely because the number of people willing to undergo this on camera can probably be counted on one hand. But yes, Him.
