The permanent A list "singer" didn't write any of her hits and doesn't own the masters. The writers are not overly fond of granting sync licenses so there is no way on this planet that she got the amount of money that is being bandied about. It also shows you that her team wanted some kind of payment for the "work" they have done for her.
