Today's Blind Items - Horror

A famous NYU alumnus who's starring in a new CBS show almost got expelled from college many years ago in the early 2000s. He was big into horror at the time (honestly still is), and he would always make very detailed horror shorts whenever he could get away with it for a film class assignment. One time, his friend thought it was a good idea to upload his film to a popular shock website as a prank. After a long conversation with the three armed police officers that showed up to his apartment, a student actor friend who hadn't yet taken off his special effects makeup and thought it'd be funny to keep playing dead, and a free midnight trip to the local police precinct for questioning (which only ended when the "corpse" got bored and broke character, asking the crime scene detectives back at the apartment for a slice of pizza five hours later), he was finally able to prove that it was, in fact, a student horror short film and a friend with a shitty sense of humor—and not an actual dead body in his apartment. Unfortunately for him, the dean was so disturbed from what he saw that he almost got kicked out of the program.  He was forbidden from the genre for the rest of his time at the college. To this day, students in that program have very strict rules limiting the use of graphic body horror in their films.
