This past weekend there was a little party. One of the attendees was this former B+ list actress. Usually, I like to say almost A- list actress, but that wasn't really the case. The party started off with about twenty people and it was mostly for show. Think in terms of office holiday party. A little more close knit, but definitely office party vibes. One of those attendees doesn't even care they are losing their job, because that is how much they hated it. Anyway, so that goes on for maybe 90 minutes and that might be pushing it. So, then the number is reduced by about half and it moves on to a private room at a social club. Interestingly enough, not the social club one would have expected, especially considering who one of the other attendees was. I was so shocked, I actually had to confirm. It might be one of the only times I can remember that this particular attendee has not requested a different venue.
Then, I figured out why. One does not usually do line after line of coke like you are in Scarface, at your place of employment. cc: Cy Waits. Not all of the attendees were doing lines of coke, but out former actress certainly was and the love of her life. A couple others joined in, but they were mostly boozing. Seriously, the levels of coke being consumed by a couple off these people was something like I am not going to get to do this for awhile so let us do as much as possible. From the way it was described to me, it felt like the weekend long ago in NYC where it was just balls to the wall booze and drugs because of the same kind of I won't be doing this for awhile thing.
A couple of hours later and everyone was drunk or lit or both. Two groups of people went to two separate Escalades. However, our former actress and the love of her life got into a third SUV which also included two bodyguards. Neither of the other SUV's had any. I don't know what the former actress and the love of her life did the rest of the night. The only thing I do know is that at noon when the tipster had to leave the "office" for the final time, neither had arrived back. Long night.
