The aging urban cinema heartthrob/theatre star had no idea the brand-new streamer that was supposed to help him get his groove back, was fully conceived by the multihyphenate filmmaker who gave himself a 20-picture deal. He was also unaware of the abuse allegations. Either way, he might have been backed into a corner by how wickedly his stage-and-screen star ex-wife drained his finances over time. Not that it'd be an excuse.
