It's really funny that many fans online truly believe that the "girl group" subsidiary of the yellow K-pop company actually likes the situation they are in and aren't actively trying everything they can, with the help and participation of their 5 member girl group, to tank their stock value so that they can leave their parent company for super cheap. This split has been happening since before the girl group under the 4 letter subsidiary got into their legal issues but its been happening much more behind the scenes. In fact, the girl groups of both subsidiaries have been feeding each other information behind the backs of the yellow company for years but recently the yellow company found out because a member of a different girl group snitched back in December in order to gain favor with the yellow company, leading to a member getting kicked out of one of the groups and the other group being deliberately sabotaged and humiliated.
The divide between the subsidiary and the parent company has been simmering since 2021 when their previous girl group was forced to disband, which the subsidiary viewed as a stab in the back and then was furthered in 2022 when the parent company barred the subsidiary from releasing evidence proving their star artist, who was later kicked out of the group, was innocent. It seems though that the yellow company has figured out the subsidiary's strategy though because now they are forcing the subsidiary's girl group to work overtime and do collabs and remixes that the group does not want to release. It has gotten to the point that the subsidiary's girl group just doesn't care anymore and are leaning into not caring which in turn is turning fans away from them which ultimately is their goal at this point.
Even further, there is one member of the 5 letter "copycat" girl group that is currently on hiatus who is facing consequences behind the scenes because of her direct involvement in giving sensitive company information to the group that they were allegedly copying. The other 4 members have denied involvement and maintained their neutrality but who knows if the company actually believes it or if they are pretending to because they cannot afford to lose another girl group. The yellow company is, however, still trying to combat this possible alliance by having bot accounts and news articles constantly pit the fandoms of the "copycat group" and the girl group subsidiary's girl group against the 4 letter subsidiary's girl group, often using the yellow company's biggest boy group's fans as the catalyst, which seems to be working extremely well although who knows how long that will last.
Also, despite what everyone online thinks, the 3 member girl group "alliance" under this parent company that released a popular song earlier this year is an absolute lie and everyone in the company knows it. 2 of the groups, the previous girl group and the girl group that snitched, have absolutely hated each other since they met on the very popular reality show and it has only gotten worse behind the scenes, especially with the most popular member of the snitch girl group getting put on "hiatus". 4 members of the "copycat" girl group are very friendly with everyone, even the group that they allegedly copied, but even they don't like the snitch girl group due to a ton of internal drama and bullying. The remaining member is friendly but is very quickly losing interest in maintaining the friendship.
