If only I had not been crazed and on my way to a photo shoot, I would have been more specific about the fact that Frankie said to a birthday party WITH Ryan Gosling, not Ryan Gosling's birthday party, but it doesn't matter because we confused Parc with Mood and never ended up at the party anyway. I was wondering why Frankie and crew never showed up... Found all this out later when my best friend was telling someone this story and he claimed to be Ryan G's close friend. Anyway, to all you doubters, you should know by now that I have trouble being organized with almost every element of my life. I just thought this particular snafu was so funny I wanted to share it.
Photo shoot was lots of fun although I think the engineering of Mulholland Drive is a conspiracy. Why did they make it so difficult to simply stay on the same street. One minute you're merrily on Mulholland talking on the phone and cursing zen drivers and the next you're rudely dumped in Hollywood or the Valley. I have to read two scripts tonight but I'll use my handy dandy fact checker next time I want to relate a night on the town.
Here are the photos from the shoot. The first is of the view on the Hollywood side of Mulholland. The second is the sumptuous clothes I wore. The third is the photographer and the makeup artist.
the clothing on the hanger doesn't look like it's made for a big girl, or someone 40 lbs overweight unless said person was pin thin to begin w/. nice looking duds tho! *trying to guess shoe size cuz i'm nosy*

ReplyDelete^not necessarily. photoshoots can happen, a really nice spread, and can be help for a few months. it's pretty standard for that to happen. since the subject is an actress, may there's a tie-in between a spread the publication is doing and something zx is promoting. may be months down the road. best of luck to her though. she sounds awesome.

ReplyDeleteanon @ 12:00. you're right...now think about how long before that the publication had to be done and good to go...before it even went to press, got all the millions of copies printed and then mailed. putting together a monthly issue of any sort of mag is not a quickie process that could be fathomed a month in advance.

Every doubt or inaccuracy raised by commenters to her last post are addressed here. This entire post disputes every objection that has been raised: 1) how she goofed on R. Gosling's birthday and the clubs, 2) how she really is familiar with the local streets (the detail about driving on Mulholland Drive), and 3) actual photos to show that she is indeed in California and on a "shoot". There is also now an end date for all of this, probably since so many people have found it hard to believe. (Go ahead, rip me to shreds for questioning, and for not leaving a nickname, but I am not "Santa Cop" so don't use that one again, please!)

Those look like clothes for InStyle mag. Haha, I may be crazy but that's my initial thought on the matter. And spring/fall works well since mags shoot 4 months in advance and it's April. Possibly later if she is on the cover though...

The second is Jennifer Tilley - who has 2 movies one in production and the third is Heather Graham who also has the same as Tilley. Now EL mentioned someone guessed "no pants" so could it be one of these 3 names?

I think it's Nikki Griffin. She's young, been in TV and movies from the late 90's to the present, and was at LA fashion week. She has 2 movies that are complete and doesn't look like she has anything currently going on.

Molly, the original writer or Mollygood. It's really just a shot in the dark(is that actually a saying?!?). I still think it is Molly or someone she knows because she is the one who originally tipped me off to this blog. How did others find out about this blog? Anyway, don't get me wrong, I admire whoever the writer of this blog is, and if it's Molly, more power to her because she is smart and likeable. The writer are crafty, intelligent and captivating, but it's hard to be 100% consistent and there are going to be loopholes. And I am going to point them out.

This writer is really inconsistent, not just continuity but fact wise & I see some Canadian influence w/ the language and some ignorance of Americanisms as well as shows that require $ to view in Canada. I was really ill with flu, home from work & ended up reading all the comments and articles in a week. (It's very obvious this is not real when read as a whole.) ReplyDeleteBy the way, the photo "on the Hollywood side of Mulholland" is not of Hollywood, but of the San Fernando Valley. While it appears to have been taken from a house along Mulholland, the view is facing north towards the valley and not south towards Hollywood. The tall building at the end of the pool is the Van Nuys Courthouse and jail. Also, the sun is at the camera's back which means the shot is facing north. But then again, what is one more inconsistency in the pursuit of good fun? Maybe she should check her handy dandy fact checker before relating where Hollywood is.

Look at the end of the pool. The shadow from the pool edge drops from left to right, so the sun is on camera left. There is something tall to the left of the photographer casting the foreground shadow. I think the sun is actually slightly in front of the photographer (based on how that horizontal foreground shadow dips in the water), but mostly from the left.
I think the building at the tip of the pool could be Park La Brea and the distant hills rising to the right could be the Baldwin Hills/Ladera Heights area. The mountain horizon line in the Valley is more level.

ReplyDeleteThe Park La Brea complex is essentially along the Wilshire corridor which would mean there would be buildings of a similar height in the general area in a line from left to right. There appear to be no buildings of that height in the general area. The Van Nuys courthouse, on the other hand, stands alone, has the same massing and two dark "rectangles" of glass to match the picture.
Additionally, I agree that the sun is not directly behind the camera, it is clearly behind and to the left (see the shadow nearest to the house). The pool is rectangular with a half circle at the end. The shadow at the end of the pool is just the curve of the pool's edge. If this shot was facing south (towards Baldwin Hills), it would have to have been shot in the morning and the quality of light would be completely different. This picture appears to have been taken in the afternoon, I'd guess about 2-3:00.

ReplyDeleteMandy Moore is on the cover of Elle for May because she is promoting her new album. So perhaps that means that she is in promotional mode right now—hence the photo shoots. Also, as discussed, she appears in independent films, three 2007 movies and one for 2008 in production-- she is not filming right now. She recently spilt with DJ AM and Zach Braft (?) and has since gained some weight (but obviously still looks amazing). I did find an article about her that said that she smoked—but I find that hard to imagine. Additionally I have no idea if she was at LA’s fashion week.

ReplyDeleteamy -- In the picture with the model walking on the edge of the pool, you can clearly see a sharp squared-off corner. None of the pool corners in ZX's pool are squared. Also, the other photo with the model lounging (( as much as models "lounge" on shoots )) shows much more detail of the pool, and it doesn't match with ZX's.
