Today's Blind Items
This D list male singer with A list name recognition always says how much he loves his celebutante girlfriend in public. I bet he does considering how she lets him sleep with as many other women as he wants. She considers it the price for staying in the public eye as much as she can.
This has to be Nick Lachey, right?

Isn't a celebutante a combo of celeb and debutante? Someone from a "known family" like Paris Hilton or Nicole Ritchie. Maybe it's Paris hilton and that Madden singer she's dating.

I don't consider Vanessa Manillo to be a celebutante because I think celebutantes are offspring of famous and wealthy parents. This seems the most to me like Nicole Richie and Joal Madden
ReplyDeleteJoel Madden is definitely not D list (prob B- given Good Charlotte's success with the MTV crowd), nor does he have A list name recognition.
ReplyDeleteI like the Nick/Vanessa guess though it may be too obvious. A celebutante doesn't need reach and famous parents. They just have to be more famous for going out/partying/tabloids than any actual career.

ReplyDeleteLachey as a solo artist is pretty low-selling, but yet known for Newlyweds and all the drama that went with it. Minillo is a tv host, but it's not really a "skill" that one can be branded with; hence - celebutante

ReplyDeleteNick Lachey and Joel Madden aren't A list by that definition, but Kevin Federline might be.
Just to clarify: a "celubutante" is, by my definition, a young girl who is famous for nothing but her, or her families, money. Vanessa doesn't fit that definition. Paris is obviously the definition of celebutante, just for reference. I guess Nicole Richie falls into the category too, even though she'd tried to strike out on her own.
