Whitney Port - Film Critic & Idiot

As I have said several times on the site, I have read all the Twilight books. I didn't think they were the greatest things ever, but I did think as the series went on and the author had better editors, the books were decent. I have yet to see the movie due to an ongoing bet which is neither here nor there, but does involve whether or not $240 makes a certain amount of pudding. It is long and complicated unlike Whitney Port.

Whitney decided to go ahead and just drive a stake(nice pun huh) through her career as a reality star by trashing the movie Twilight. I don't care if it is the worst thing she has ever seen, you don't tell an MTV reporter that it was bad or that the acting was bad. Has she seen her own show? Note to Whitney. Besides thinking you are too good for yourself, you might want to take a look at the demographics of your show. The people who watch your show are the ones who love Twilight, whether it be the books or the movies. And, when it comes to them choosing who they would rather watch, I'm pretty sure they are going to stick with Twilight.

You don't tick off the fans who gave you just enough ratings to earn another paycheck for a year. What you do is you tell them how much you love Robert Pattinson and leave it at that. Instead she called the acting horrible, the chemistry between the two stars awful and that doesn't see what all the fuss is about. Hear those crickets? They are the only ones who will be watching your show next season.

  1. Please. Your're assuming she has a functional brain. She only has enough brain cells for the most basic functions. The rest of the space has been taken up by a lovely closet any girl would die for.

  2. Yeah you dont want to piss off the female aged 10-16 demographic. They are fucking ruthless.

I realize that may come off sarcastic but it isn't.

  3. So you'd rather she bullshit instead of be truthful? Then she'd get berated in the blogs for being boring and a robot.

But you're right we need more people on TV who like the things everyone else likes.

I'm with Joseph. I'm glad she spoke her mind. Sure she may have shot herself in the foot, but how many people are going to say, "thank god someone who speaks some truth" and might turn in, or when they start promoting it again think "that's that girl who thinks like I do". It'll probably be about equal.

  5. What a rude, irrelevant girl. Didn't Mrs. Port teach her any manners?

  6. Couldn't have said it better. Twilight is not all that, but there's something to them that keeps everyone glued 'til the end of the series. Sure, it's corny. But aren't we all guilty of indulging? I mean, here we are.
She's weird: were you the one who posted a pic of her with her sis? The sister looked bad. Bad, as in she looked "not hooked up with beauty products and nice accesories". She was short of wearing a scrunchie!! I know that I were Whitney, I'd make sure my sister had all my left overs from the stuff I get for free. Or would at least give her tips. What the heck?!

ALSO, can we PRETTY PLEASE have more pics of JASON SEGEL?

PLEASE,PLASE, PLEASE. i just developed this huge crush on him.

  7. Gee Enty, talk about a non-story.

  8. Even though I am a Twilight sort-of fan (of the books), and don't know who the fuck this girl is, her statement made me laugh hysterically, it was pretty on point as far as the movie goes. But she better watch her back; the Twihards can render someone deaf with their screaming, pull out hair, and scratch out eyes like nobody's business. Oh, and run you over with their mom's minivan. Be warned, Whitney!

  9. Enty, i don't believe those are the same fans. i doubt anyone who watches the Hills/City gives a shit about Twilight and vice versa.

everyone trashes Twilight, it's the new Gigli.

i say good for her for not saying "oh i haven't had a chance to see it yet" when in reality she did and thought it sucked.

  10. Yeah, much as it pains me I've got Whit's back on this one. The Twilight movie's like Showgirls: good only if you see it rrrreally drunk with a bunch of mates and MST3k it all the way through. Then it's BRILLIANT! And the fact that everyone's (men, too) wearing a shade of coral lipstick last seen on Palm Beach socialites in 1975 and a level of Pan-Cake last seen on Rudy Valentino in 1922 only adds to the charm.

  12. Oh my gawwwwsh. (sorry, had to do it)

I bet I'll feel the exact same way when I watch Twilight. I'll wait for it to come on The Movie Network - probably around Hallowe'en. If I don't laugh my ass off, I will be highly disappointed.

Think of it this way, Ent - it's the most realistic thing she's said in a long time.

  13. she's completely right! but of course everybody says she's full of crap because she's on a fake reality show, so whatever.

and why is it that on perez it says that she thought the chemistry between bitchface stewart and robert pattinson was good, but here it says she thought it was awful? someone has it twisted...
