Today's Blind Items

I guess this guy is a reality show host. The show is not really scripted although it does manage to usually bring out the tears. Anyway, the host likes to make it seem like everything on the show is all his idea when actually it is a team of people and he shows up for five minutes and takes the credit. He is also trying to sell the ideas that the other people have created and pass them off as his own.

  2. I would guess Ty also. I actually love Ty!

  3. I never believed Ty came up with any ideas. I always got the feeling he just shows up to grin for the camera.
But I dont' mind when he takes his shirt off!

  4. eep. ryan? i mean he's dipped his hand at producing and constantly has projects lined up...

  5. Ty was the first one to come to mind because of the tear factor.
I stopped watching the show because I got sick of crying on Sunday nights. Ty used to (supposedly) have all sorts of ideas for the surprise room.

  6. TY WAS THE FIRST AND ONLY NAME THAT POPPED INTO MY HEAD...

  7. This one seems too obvious and I thought of Ty before I even finished reading.

Not even blind. Between the unsure hosting, and "tears", and project building, it's pretty obvious.

He also has a line of home accessories at Sears, which would explain the last sentence.

  11. Mooshki--it's really dull. I was hoping we'd at least see Rebecca shooting up her smack. No sex, just stupidity.

    Get it RIGHT, people!

  12. I immediately thought of Ty Pennington, too. They recently built a home in my area, and I was shocked at how little actual time he spent at the site. Flew out after the initial surprise and flew back in for the big reveal. That's it.

  13. I had no idea who Ty Pennington was until I looked him up.

  14. There was a house built in our area too, last summer - I think. A gal I work with went down there several times to the site, and mentioned that Ty never worked on the project, just 'worked the crowd' and then disappeared into his trailer or what have you. I don't watch the show often but he does appear to be the one taking alot of the credit for the creative ideas, etc.

  15. Ty Pennington. His show built a house in my rather small town a year ago, and he was reputed to be a giant asshole--really rude to the locals who worked steadily on the construction site. Jackass.

  16. I have a friend working with Ty right now, it's him.....makes me wonder even more about Enty's identity.....I think I know you dude!

  17. BigMama - don't let the secret out! Well, except to me, of course. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ty. Used to like him on Trading Spaces. Now, not so much.

Mooshki...I thought you knew who enty is.

  19. nope, already asked. The comment I got was "I think I have heard of that site, I should go check it out" but I still find it suspect!

  20. YEAH, I finaly know one!!!
    So.... TY!!!
My day has just been made!

  21. Sunnyside, no. :( I know bits and pieces about him, but not his real name. I also know two people who know for sure who he really is, and neither of the bitches will spill the slightest hint. (I kid! I love you gals!!! And you've more than proved Enty's trust in you.)

  22. That sounds like more proof to me BigMama. The key to being a good lawyer is learning to avoid commited answers

  23. Yup, it's Ty all right. I still like him and his magazine has had some good ideas. I wonder if his assholedom comes from his drinking. Hope he's kicked that habit. (Don't worry, Enty, because he gets the cure that means more for US!!!! Cheers!!!!)

  24. Liz, I agree, that sounds like exactly what I'd expect him to say if asked that. He's very good at deflecting direct questions. :)

  25. They pay him how much for that???

Ty was my one and only guess, and it's been a couple of years since I watched that show.

  26. Bob Vila?

Just kidding...but he originally made showing up the at the jobsite and "looking busy" for all of 3 minutes famous!

  27. Yep, I'll triple-dog-ditto the Ty guesses. He always takes credit for the "special room" in the houses.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ty seems too obvious a choice to me. I never got the impression that he did anything other than host the show and yell into the blowhorn. I knew he did the "special room" but I never thought he actualy "did" anything to build it. I think he did do an honest days work on Trading Spaces though.

  29. I thought Ty too and I don't even watch any reality. I remember him from Trading Spaces.

  30. I think Ty too - he did a house in the small town I went to college in last summer. He was hardly there, treated the local help like crap, wouldn't let them come to the reveal, and had a special 'badge' from the police department making him an honorary deputy or some crap like that - basically so he could drink and drive. My friends saw him at the gas station and he was acting like an ass and drinking in his truck.

  31. I volunteered for a build EMHE did here two weeks ago, Ty wasn't around except for the first day and part of the last, and as others have pointed out, a bit of a jerk. So yeah, my guess too.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lol this is not even blind. Even I knew this was Ty right off the bat and I never get them right. What a douche.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hmm, I hope this one isn't revealed. It would be a waste of a reveal since it's clearly Ty.

    ReplyDelete
  34. im going to say the guy that hosts the housewives reunion/recaps crap.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So totally Ty (LOL). I didn't even had to think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Don't hate, Ty's just doing what Martha Stewart did for millions. If the ladies can do it, why can't the man?

    ReplyDelete
  37. They have built at least 2 (and I think 3 houses) here in Kitsap County.

The employees of our local SEARS never saw these people. Instead they shot the 'ferry ride ' to get sears products in Seattle.

    bad.

  38. @i

    And that's a good thing?

  39. What about Dr. Drew from Celeb Rehab/Sober House?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ty was definitely the first person who came to mind. The whole "brings out the tears" comment is a dead giveaway.

  41. Dr. Drew was the first person to come to mind.

  42. This is very much Ty. I know for a fact. My dad created some wood turned bed feet and lamp shades for a show, with his own hands (I saw it) and on air Ty took credit for making it. They showed him polishing it saying "this is what I spent all day on", when he had never touched them until that moment. What a joke that guy is.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I also thought Ty right away, but I loved reading the first-hand accounts of his douchiness. I saw him on some talk show - maybe Kimmel? - and he looked high/drunk/something. I wasn't impressed at all. Hopefully the show really does things for people in need.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mike--if that's true, then Ty is a sack of shit. Woodworking is an incredibly complicated art, and how can he take credit for another's artwork? It's practically criminal!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Mooshki, if it is who I think it is.....well, he would not admit it for sure, but he has to have help with the site.....

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ty "came" to our town a few weeks ago, where he proceeded to trash talk the city and how ghetto it is, made fun of the people in the surrounding area, and pissed off a large portion of the city. While our city has its blemishes, as with any city, it's one thing to call them out if you are a regular joe, not a duplicitious national personality.
