  9. I've often wondered what happened to him. Why did he fall? He was a really promising talent back then.

  10. Amy- I agree. I remember his crazy laugh. I am trying to think of what movies he's been in since then that I have seen.

  11. It looks like he did a lot of broadway, but who knows...typecast maybe?

  17. He was also in Parenthood. Remember, he was the skeevey brother.

I really liked him as an actor and wondered why he didn't ever get more parts.

Hopefully he can turn it around, because he is quite talented.

  21. You know, maybe this story is true, but you shouldn't feel too sorry for him. He's a very successful Broadway producer who produced Spring Awakening (which was a HUGE hit). Check out his bio: http://www.springawakening.com/creative_team.php
A lot of actors do commercials or cameo parts just to get back on screen because they either like to work or want to remind people they're still out there if they've been working in a less visible part of the business.

  22. Go Skittle Kitty! This one is sad; he seemed like a talented guy. I hope his luck gets better in 2010.

  26. Agree with Liz - Hulce is a successful mostly on stage. Not sure why this is blind at all...

  27. maybe he had to do it for an acting credit so he can keep his SAG benefits. I checked his imdb and his acting credits are pretty spotty after the 90's.

  28. I loved him in Animal House too!

  29. Yes, he was involved in the production of the very successful, Tony award winning Broadway musical "Spring Awakening". He is also now involved with "American Idiot the Musical" which will hopefully be transferring to Broadway this year. Loved him as an actor. Still love him as a producer.

  30. Kathy I agree "Dominick and Eugene" is a wonderful movie. I think it got overshadowd by Rain Man.

IMO Dominick and Eugene blew Rain Man out of the water.

    Love Tom Hulce!!!!!

  33. Yes, I was a bit depressed for him too until I read Liz's also.

  34. Glad I could clear that up. I met him while I was working as an assistant in New York and he was so nice. He's very well respected in the theatre community and there are lots of reasons why an older actor might audition for a commercial. I don't think this was as tragic as the blind item let on.

  35. He was wonderful in Dominic and Eugene with Ray Liotta, a true unfortunate plastic surgery victim. New about the Broadway stuff. Hoping it is paying the freight for him.
By the way, New Year's Eve in Copabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil was awesome last night and this morning. I even got to kiss a hot man from Sao Paulo, full on very kissable lips.
