Blind Items Revealed

Friday, July 10, 2009

#1 - This female reality judge on an A list reality program is getting paid to endorse a product. The product has a very limited budget for publicity. It is about $200,000 for an entire year. Our reality star spent $20,000 of it in one weekend on hotels, room service and the long distance calls of her agent.

Carrie Ann Inaba

  8. What a bitch!!
Hi everyone! Been reading for awhile, never commented.

  9. See ... that's what happens when a marketing department gets ahead of itself, or doesn't work an effective incentive deal with the celebrity. I could see Carrie Ann being an effective endorser for a dance-related product, or MAYBE a clothing line. But cosmetics? Trying to break into a crowded market? Yikes. You get what you pay for if you don't prevent it in a contract!

Celebs crack me up. Which is why I love this site so much!

  10. So she spent more moeny in a weekend than I spend in a year. Nice.

  11. More like she spent more money in a weekend than some people make in an entire year.

  12. wow...i didnt even know who that was, but i guess that's because i don't watch the show either.
but i will say that's a C R A Z Y amount of dough to spend in one weekend, especially considering she's not tom cruise or katie holmes. that's just crazy money. that's, like, OPRAH money.

  13. yes..she has always rubbed me the wrong way too. there is something evil about her..maybe it's the way she pinches her eyes. like her soul is just black.

  14. Having worked with celebs on PR campaigns ...

$200k to get a celeb is really, really low. The ones I worked with or tried to get were charging $150k for two days' work. And that was NOT including travel, expenses, etc. It was just their fee for being associated with the campaigns.

$20k for one weekend is not unheard of.

Sorry - I don't think she is the bitch she's being made out to be. And the PR agency/client would have booked and/or approved of her travel arrangements and disbursements... it all would have been agreed to before hand.

  15. never heard of her..is she the lady Seth McFarland made fun of because he never heard of her either when he was asked to do a Stewie impression for her on the red carpet for the Emmy's or something like that? I remember him totally clown some chick. If I am right she totally deserved it!

  16. Mistik kind of puts things into perspective. I agree that there are budgets and approvals, but I think that Carrie Ann is still a bitch and has always rubbed me the wrong way. Just because you are entitled to spend, doesn't mean that you should. The sense of entitlement always amazes me. She's not all that known to begin with

I agree with the others, I'm glad it's not Paula.

  18. I'll take her over that screaming lady on SYTYCD. Long distance phone calls? WTH? $20k was close to what my yearly salary was my first year out of college. Wonder what her salary is for DWTS? Maybe $20k is a drop in the bucket.

  19. Um, doesn't anyone have unlimited plans?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, the first thing I thought was, "Why weren't they using cell phones?" Who uses the home telephone for long distance unless you have the Magicjack or unlimited long distance?

  21. So what? Its a money making enterprise and that's their budget. Its not like it was a charity or something. If that business thinks its profitable to employ her in that fashion, who cares? If she was spending money that was meant for some noble cause, then it'd be a story...but she wasn't, so its not.

  22. Every moron who has traveled even a little knows NOT to use the hotel phone! The charges are astronomically jacked up and most even charge you for local calls and toll free numbers.

Only an uncaring twat wouldn't use her cell phone.
