Julianne Moore - As The World Turns - Now And Back In The Day

Julianne Moore returned to As The World Turns this week. See how she looks now and how she looked way back in the day when she first appeared on the show.

  1. I'm probably the only one on here that still watches As the World Turns faithfully. I'll be sad to see it end, but completely understand because they keep messing with it and the characters. It's just one of my guilty pleasures and have been watching it since I was little girl with my mom (she's watched it since the beginning).

  2. She's gorgeous. I just watched "Blindness" yesterday (WTF with that movie?!? Ugh) and she had blonde hair in it that totally didn't suit her. Red all the way!

  3. I watch it too, and will miss it once it's gone.

  5. That's cool that she did that, though. I mean, she's an A-list actress. She had no obligation to go back.

  6. My sister and I used to sneak watch soaps - my parents would NOT let us do that - but we would catch some As the World Turns, and she was our girlcrush! We just loved her red hair and thought she was so pretty. I don't really remember plot points, but I love the fact that she came back. So many actors start out on soaps and move on and then poo-poo it when it gave them their start. Talk about ingratitude! Anyway, she's awesome for doing it.

  9. What a wonderful thing to do! What a classy gal to come back to her starting place.

And what was it about the CBS soaps that they had the "eye" - if you will - to spot amazing talent?

  10. Is that Marisa Tomei at the end? And who is the British guy? Looks like the actor who was on Harper's Island (maybe it's his father).

  11. Wow, that's a trip...I, too, used to watch ATWT--totally forgot Steven Webber was on it...quite a few mainstream actors started on this soap...I remember Meg Ryan used to play Betsy (I always hated that character, and I've never been a fan of MR because of it...lol). Yes, that is Marisa Tomei, too.

I don't watch soaps anymore, but every time I see clips like that one, I'm always reminded of Joey, in Friends, and his "smell the fart" acting...lmao.

  12. Oh hell...that little ..... Franny never had any time for her family when things were going well and now that the town is closing down due to a flood of epic proportions she returns home for hugs. Damn you Franny...damn you to Hades.
