Jennifer Love Hewitt Is Out Of A Job

With CBS giving every penny they make to Charlie Sheen, they found out they didn't have any room on their fall schedule for Ghost Whisperer. Despite winning its time slot every week, the show starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy was canceled. No more classic lines such as, "Are you a Registered Psychic for the CIA and NSA?" Oh, or this breathtaking dialogue between Jennifer and Jay Mohr.

Jennifer: Can you get me out of here?
Some Guy: I gotta go to work.
Jennifer: [To Jay Mohr character] How bout you — lunch?
Jay: If it’s a lunch that involves food, yeah, I’m in.

I'm fairly sure Jennifer Love Hewitt will get another job and now maybe Anne Archer can spend some time over at the Scientology Center and do something about that obnoxious kid of hers. Jamie, well, he will probably star with Dane Cook on the "Still Not Funny Comedy Tour."

  2. Could it be to make JLH's breasts look even perkier?

  3. Lol Enty - I know I'm probably the only adult who likes Dane Cook - and I WILL not stop because you keep mocking him. :P

  4. if the show is winning its time slot every week...why would they cancel the show? I thought they only canceled shows that actually weren't getting any viewers.

  9. TV shows get more expensive to produce each year they remain on TV. It's why Murder She Wrote was canceled back in the day. Plus, CBS doesn't completely own this show, so they have to share the money with ABC. And the syndication deal is half what a show like The Medium gets. It's all about the money.

  10. I don't watch the show either, but I predict it will be replaced with a "reality show" that will introduce a whole new set of knuckleheads to America for us to despise.

  11. I'm not going to lie, this devastates me! Ghost Whisperer was my Friday night guilty pleasure... sigh, I agree they will probably fill the slot with some cheap-to-produce reality TV crap to save money.

  12. So now how is JLH going to afford the bracelet for her next temporary fiancee?

  15. i never get the jlove hate either. she makes terrible choices in men, but who of us hasn't been there?
and i, too, am extremely sad to hear this. i like the show, david conrad has a bit of hunkiness going on, camryn manheim is always wonderful, jamie kennedy was a waste, but it was an enjoyable show.
besides, there's nothing else on on fridays!

  19. How sad. I loved this show, guilty pleasure and cheese for one!
WOW! Makes no sense, but I am done with making sense of tv networks.

  20. Poor JLH. Hopefully she'll find another show....

I like Dane Cook too and LOL @ all Enty's hate for him. I like his standup but his movies have been mostly awful. His last CD wasn't as good as the previous but he CAN be damn funny. The Burger King stories are my favorite.

  21. Jay Mohr isn't an ass (at least not all the time), and the only decent season the series had was with him. I had a Jay Mohr fan living in my house at the time. He even had a couple of funny lines. I still quote the "Bed, Bath and Voodoo" one. But alas, Jamie needed a job, so Jay got the boot.
