Once In A Lifetime Hail Storm Video vs The Seinfeld Off

The hail video starts off slowly, but really picks up after the first minute. Imagine standing outside unprotected while baseballs pummel you from above.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon and Jerry Seinfeld competed to see who could do the best Jerry Seinfeld impression. Hilarious.

  1. Guys, that hail storm was no joke. It was last Sunday, and essentially there was a giant tornado over Oklahoma City that didn't reach the ground, but what it did do was keep those hail stones spinning in the air picking up more rain and fusing with other hailstones until they were heavy enough to escape the tornado. (Mezocycle, actually) But to be big enough to escape they were things the size of Softballs and Baseballs.

20 minutes later, the sun was shining. Welcome to Sooner country.

  2. Ryan, how's it looking outside today? The TV reported it's pretty wild right now in tornado alley.

  3. I went through storms like that when I lived in Ft. Worth, TX. Both times were at night, so you couldn't see the incredible damage until the sun rose. It's so damn loud and so f-cking scary.

Luckily as a current Okie, we've escaped the brunt of Mother Nature's pissy mood during this past week.

  6. Holy shit, that hailstorm wasn't joking around! Where I live, the weather can change on a whim (Welcome to Calgary - bring a sweater!), but I have never ever seen hail that big. That was apocalyptic.

  8. Seriously, how scary would it be if you were driving and got caught in that? Your car window would be smashed!

It must have felt like armageddon to go through that.

  9. so I was in OKC when this happened. I lost 2 windows on the north side of my house. It was CRAZY, I tell ya! And I have NEVER seen anything like that before.

Car windows and cars in general, totaled. Many will probably get new cards out of this deal as it was devastating!

  11. yesterday it was crazy again. More baseball size hail. But it was north and south of the OKC Metro.

Ryan, not sure if you and George Wendt are in Tulsa, but did the tornadoes hit you yesterday?

  12. I would hate to be an outside dog in that storm. This is also why I don't jog. Ok, not really, but it sounds good.

  13. Jeez, I that hailstorm was insane--I feel so sorry for everyone who had damage done to their property, self, or loved ones.

  14. The family I married into sells paint and body supplies in OKC and have a warehouse. Their collective giddiness over this makes my stomach turn.

  15. I'm from Virginia, where this kind of weather does happen, but only very rarely this extreme. I was working as a lifeguard and was on duty one day when we heard some very distant thunder and kicked everyone out of the pool. The patrons threw a shit fit, but we were vindicated when it blew in fast and hard and everyone finally left. We lifeguards were all cooped up in our tiny windowless station when we heard it. Golfball sized hail! It wreaked absolute havoc over everything and dented people's cars (but not my wheels of steel- '68 Impala :))The pool was at the bottom of a hill, and we found our umbrella 200 feet away in the parking lot at the top of the hill! Needless to say we closed for the day.

  16. Why people live in a tornado zone I'll never understand. I couldn't live in an area where your chances of death rise significantly in the summer months due to freaky weather. I'd be paranoid as hell!
What would you do if you were caught in that? Holy crap!

And Jimmy Fallon is sexy as hell when he laughs.

  17. Tornados happen more in the spring. I live just north of OKC, and this weather we've had for the past almost 2 weeks has been crazy. Most of the hail that hit Sunday was baseball and softball sized. I've never seen it like that before...ever. Since I've lived in Oklahoma and Kansas all my life, it's all I know and I don't see how people would want to live with earthquakes or hurricanes. I'd rather take my chances with a tornado.

  18. Jes, I'm with you. We live in an area that is so technologically advanced, when it comes to tornado prediction, that you can have a day's notice as to what to expect.

That being said, no one predicted the hail, but the tornado had damn sure been predicted/expected. The hail kept the tornado from lowering, actually.
