Drugs & Sex On The House Set

This is just what I needed today to liven things up. A disgruntled former employee of the show House to file a lawsuit and allege all kinds of nasty things about the crew and the producers. TMZ managed to obtain a copy of a lawsuit filed by Carl Jones, who is a fired assistant prop master of the show. He says he was fired from the show and blackballed from future work for not engaging with other crew members when they had drug and sex parties on set.

Jones says that he was harassed by two of his bosses because he would not go to strip bars, would not take coke or get drunk and would not participate in sexual conduct at the trailer.

According to the suit, Jones claims the supervisors would often refer to him and other employees by all kinds of names that would make Mel Gibson want to work on the show.

  1. Are there like only 3 people in Hollywood that actually work.

It seems everybody else is drunk, drugged or sexing their way through town.

How does anything actually get done?

  2. Oh my. Does it say which cast members were involved in these drug and booze orgies? Do you have any old blinds that refer to this show?

  3. I want to know of this has anything to do with the actors. I've heard that Hugh Laurie is miserable on set. Katie Jacobs, the producer, always struck me as a royal bitch...

  4. This sounds like bullshit to me.

  5. Juicy! There have been a few blinds that we've guessed "House" for, some did involve drugs on set, so perhaps the guesses were right.
    Great show, though.

  6. I know someone who works on House. For a gossipy dude, this guy gets strangely tight-lipped when I try to probe for scoop about House. About the only thing I've gotten out of him is Jesse Spencer is not gay and that Laurie stays "in (American) accent" (versus in character) on set.

  7. You know what would shock me? If there were a Hollywood set, or workplace in America, for that matter, that didn't have drugs and sex or some outrageous scandal brewing behind the scenes. I would literally fall out of my chair.

  8. There was a blind about an attractive actor with bad hygiene that many guessed was Jesse Spencer. I've heard drug rumors about him too and the rumor that he and Jennifer Morrison broke up because he was gay.

Thanks Little Miss Smoke and Mirrors for your inside dish (but I wish it was dishier).

  9. Not that I know what I'm talking about, but it very specifically says "crew members" and "producer" and "prop master's boss" not necessarily in those quotes (close enough).

My point is it DOES NOT say anything about the cast...

  10. Cheryl, I wish it was dishier, too. And I specifically asked about Jesse's sexuality b/c I, too, had heard that's why they broke up. The guy I know on set IS gay and he was emphatic that Jesse's straight. In fact, he seemed surprised that I thought otherwise.

  11. What Dawn said. It's two different cultures.

  12. As prissy and sanctimonious as Robert Sean Leonard is, there's no way in the world this could involve the cast without him mounting his pulpit.

  13. timbob, I think 3 who work is generous. More like 1. Maybe.

  16. I had an uncle who went through that - was made fun of for not joining in on the strippers and booze. He lost his job and was given lame reasons. When a friend higher up found out, he was given a different job in the company, and an apology.

This shit happens everywhere. Maybe not on the same scale, but Christmas parties can be quite revealing.
