Someone Paid Paris Hilton $3.5M

I'm speechless. Is there so much money in the world that a company is willing to toss $3.5M at Paris Hilton for her to endorse their product? Seriously? That is crazy to me. Apparently it is true though. The company that paid Paris all that money is now suing her for ten times the amount. I have my fingers crossed they will win and she will go bankrupt, but at the same time if she loses that much money you know what will happen right? Paris 24/7 as she goes for attention and money.

The company, Hairtech International, hired Paris to promote their line of hair extensions. They are suing her because they claim she wore the hair extensions from a different company, missed the launch party because she was serving 23 days in jail and says that her partying lifestyle went against their marketing campaign.

I think it is very clear how much I despise Paris Hilton, but this company is run by a bunch of idiots. First, they paid the waste of space $3.5M. I would love to know who suggested it and if they still have a job. How does that process work? Then, they obviously have never opened a magazine or tabloid or understand the word Google. When this all happened she was a drunk mess almost every night. Did they not see her drug videos? Her porn tape? Idiots. Of course she was not a fit for their marketing campaign or any marketing campaign. That is why she probably laughed like a maniac when she got paid.

  7. Exactly, Jess. You also don't pay someone before the work is done.

  8. @Jess - Took the words right out of my mouth.

What the hell did they expect? I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time she has been paid millions to endorse a product & not live up to her end of the bargain. And she is certainly not the only celeb to have done this either...

  9. Haha, when I first saw that picture, I thought she was endorsing a vibrator!

It would have been a little more fitting though, no?

I am glad the hoopla over her is settling down, though. I feel like I see much less of her than I did a year or two ago and I am super thankful for that.

It was her partying lifestyle that made her famous enough to endorse the product in the first place. What did they expect?

  12. Liza-if it had been a vibrator there's a good chance she would have actually used it!

  15. i never thought i'd actually defend paris, but the jail thing didn't mysteriously happen overnight- they knew there was a possibility of jail time and could have arranged another date for a launch party.

they also hired her because she was famous for her party reputation. they got what they asked for, but 3 years later they're surprised she lives up to her name? please. next time put some real thought into who you want repping your products instead of hiring the "party girl of the moment"

  16. They are a bunch of idiots, but because they are playing the marketing game of "hire a hot mess and clean up when their company is mentioned in blogs" like this.

It may get you a spike, but not long-term success.

But I hope she loses. Maybe her "career" and horrible influence is nearing an end.

  17. Which one in the pic is Paris?

Kidding. But seriously folks, she's a dirt bag and anyone who doesn't know it is stupid and almost deserves to be taken by her. Almost.
