I Invented Poking

Mark Zuckerberg had the line of the night on Saturday night when he told Lorne Michaels he invented poking. How many of us wish we could say that. Not a great actor, but when you can afford to buy NBC all by yourself, acting is not necessary.

  1. Zuckerberg's riffing on Betty White's SNL joke about Facebook. She's the one who got a great laugh by saying she thought "poking" was something you did on a hayride under a blanket.

  2. That was a pretty good opening for SNL. That was a pretty good line for Mark, but I'll bet he wouldn't have shown up on just any show, either.

  3. i thought it was a quality episode all around. wasn't sure why nikki minaj didn't sing but her 'bride of blackenstein' bit was hilarious.

  4. As much as I would like to hate Mark Zuckerberg for being a 26 year old billonaire. I really can't. He looked so happy he was about to explode.

I thought the blackenstein line "her mouth came from a ho who didn't know her place" was beyond funny.

The last few weeks of SNL have been awful they made up some ground this week.

  5. Agree timebob. Ironically, I think the guy's usually quite socially awkward, at least if "The Social Network" was in any way accurate.

  7. HA! Zuck was so awkward! Loved this opening. It definitely was one of their better episodes for sure.

  8. I hate Zuckerberg. He's a damned control freak who thinks everything should be run his way.

  9. Disagree, Mooshki. Did you read the Time article about him from a few weeks ago? I think he genuinely wants to help, just a bit clueless on social interaction, and he has a vision that a lot of people can't quite see.

  10. He may be brilliant but Lorne Michaels was right - he's better off stage.
