Jay Cutler Shopping In LA

More fuel to the fire in the Jay Cutler hurt or not conversation. The Chicago Bears quarterback was spotted with his Hills girlfriend Kristin Cavallari yesterday at The Grove. Apparently the two spent much of the day shopping and Jay was not limping and did not appear to be hurt. Of course the idiot cameraman from TMZ probably has never watched a sporting event in his entire life so did not ask Jay about his "injury" or anything about the controversy surrounding Sunday's events.

Kristin though was happy to talk about her shopping and blah blah blah. When someone like Kristin starts talking, all I hear are noises similar to parents talking in the Charlie Brown cartoons.

  1. I have been a Bears fan my entire life, and this just pisses me off. He better stay in L.A. because Bears fans in Chicago will shred him to pieces. If his knee isn't hurt now...it will be. Oh how I wish we could get a decent QB!

  3. Totally OT but I just read the new Goop and want to strangle Gwyneth. The entire newsletter is about products you can only buy in French pharmacies. She even says straight up: these are hard to find outside of France. STFU.

  4. Jay is not loved in Denver.

  5. Bear Fan over here too! The problem isn't if he is hurt or not (he is pretty tough, I will admit)-it is actually worse. People dislike him so much that they would find any reason to bash him and this was the perfect reason. He is just not likeable. My brother is friendly with him and said he is a good guy. I still am bitter that he stole my parking space over Memorial Day- it took me 1.5 hours to find another one.

  6. Packer fan here (WOOHOO). I've tried to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. However, he looks like an idiot doing things like this.

  7. Tool. The fact that he dates Kristin fucking Cavallari further proves it.

  8. I don't get the problem, RQ? Can't we all just stock up the next time we jet to Paris for a romantic weekend?

  9. Steelers fan, but always root for the Packers (if they aren't playing my team). I watched the Packers / Bears game and was utterly confused when they used the second (and ultimately) third string quarterbacks. I was watching it out so the sound was hard, but everyone was dumbfounded as to what happened. I googled it and realized it was because of his knee, but no one I was watching with believed it.

  10. I am not questioning whether or not he was hurt because the guy took more hits than any other QB this season and always got up and continued to play. However, I do have a problem with this and the fact he went to dinner after the game and walked up the stairs instead of taking the elevator. It is about perception, the things he has done since the game just do not look good. You would think that he would be a little bit smarter about his actions knowing what everyone has been saying. He does not have a very good reputation anyway and this is just making it worse.

  11. I wonder if he is autistic. He never makes eye contact with people talking to him.

  12. Glad to see Bear's fans on here. I'm a Chicagoan as well. Completely agree with Sara. He is a complete public relations idiot. But, at the end of the day, this is a coaching and GM issue. Angelo, Smith and Martz need to go!!!

  13. In his defense, by the time they had evaluated the injury the 3rd string QB had been used in the 3rd qtr. Against the rules for Cutler to come back in. Very bad game mgmt by coaches.

  14. You're right Enty about the TMZ camera people. Their lack of knowledge is embarassing.

  15. You know what too, if you watch the video, it looks like Cutler is trying to get out of the way from the camera. Like he doesn't want to be noticed walking around. THAT pisses me off! Why is he hiding?

  16. 100% agree with Audrey, there needs to be some changes. It's so frustrating!

  17. Uhh, the Bears got to the NFC Championship game. They were one game away from the Super Bowl. Cutler has only been there two years; Martz has only been in the organization one year. Why on EARTH should they go?
It's a lot more frustrating when your team isn't actually good.

Cutler has a PR problem. He is not media-friendly. Who cares? Anyone who thinks he is not tough has never watched him play more than one game.

  18. perception is reality.

it almost seems like he's flipping the bird to everyone who doubts he's really hurt. if he weren't, he'd at least fake it and walk on crutches.

    tool.

  19. I think Cutler's biggest problem is his face. He has kind of a weak chin and it makes him look like he's smirking when he smiles, therefore he doesn't smile much which feeds into the "he's got a bad attitude" reputation. I think he's pretty good. I can't imagine that he took himself out of the game. A quarterback who doesn't want to do anything it takes to get to the Superbowl? I don't think so. Before Chicago runs him out of town, think of teams like my beloved Titan's who are currently quarterbackless now that we've finally gotten rid of that basket case Vince Young.

  20. What's the difference between Jay Cutler and a dollar?

A dollar gives you four quarters

    From a sports blog

It does look really bad for Cutler-restaurant and The Grove. Dude's agent needs to step in and tell him to knock that kind of stuff off.

I'm a 9er's fan, so what do I know, right? Alex Smith makes Cutler look like He-Man.

  21. TMZ even knows how stupid TMZ photographers are.

@RocketQueen - I just read my newsletter & thought the same! :) I guess you could get any of it online if you were willing to pay for shipping. She is something else, that one.

  22. @MCH - just reread it and you're right, there' a link if you want to be a peasant and order (some of) it online rather than just hop over in your private jet. But for certain of the products, she said you actually have to GO there. STFU.

  23. @Rocket - heehee! I don't think I fit in the demographic of her readership. :)

  24. MCH-love your icon. I read Hyperbole and a Half whenever I get the chance

  25. @Ellebee - I love it too. She cracks me up! I especially love her cartoons & her take on her animals.

  26. @MCH I have a helper dog and a simple dog like she describes. It cracks me up. My favorite is "how Kenny Loggins ruined Christmas" and the dentist/party incident.

  27. @Ellebee - I LOVED those too. :) I also loved the "This is why I'll never be an adult." I wish she posted more often. She's hysterical.
