This aging actress who was B list in television in her time, has been going into a medical clinic to be treated for several STD’s. She tells friends she’s volunteering at a local Women’s shelter but it’s only to explain her weekly appointments.
Even with several STD's - WEEKLY clinic appointments? That just doesn't sound right. You get prescriptions and go home, or make an appointment and get warts burned off. Why weekly visits?
This woman breaks my heart, just want to give her a hug. She could have gotten these from just one cheating lowlife boyfriend or husband. Let's don't assume she is the Hollywood Whore. Poor thing. :(
I wonder if it's Hep C...that is nasty...my friend had to inject himself with interferon ...maybe she can't do the shots... So Enty says aging...she probably didn't realize how nasty it is out there....

i think the "back in her time" clue is alluding more to 70s or 80s, maybe early 90s... who was second billing on a somewhat hit tv show... maybe multiple shows... Wendie Malick? i guess shes kinda c/d... idk.
Are women who get STDs sluts who sleep around without protection, or are a large percentage of women who get STDs the opposite of sluts--victims, women who are inexperienced and trusting and in love and believe their boyfriend when he tells her he isn't sleeping around so she collects all the bugs and gunk he brings home from his affairs with others?
Everyone knows Hep C kills the liver. It's the new HIV. Even HIV doesn't wipe you out if you catch it in time, and practice safe sex, but hetero clueless people don't get it with Hep C. It will crash your liver in no time.
Hep C is not an STD. The virus is only found in blood and so you would have to have blood to blood contact. It is generally contracted through intravenous drug use, tattoos, manicures and pedicures, and blood transfusions. Unless two people are having really violent bleeding-inducing sex you aren't going to get Hep C.
As to Hep C crashing your liver in no time, Baby Boomers are the most at risk population because of their wild days in the 1960-70s. Most are just finding out they have it now, 30-40 years later when their liver enzymes are elevated. There are no real physical symptoms and the progression of the disease is very slow, again like decades. HIV is much faster moving and and more dangerous when it comes to transmission.

according to wikipedia - Hep c is a virus that usually occurs when an STD that causes open sores and bleeding is also present.... so if she also has the Herp...bingo man I feel for her...too bad.
My cousin's adopted son has Hep C, got it from birth from Mom who is still kicking around, too.
I think someone like Jane Kaczmarek is an excellent guess. I know a while ago there was a report that HIV was increasing amongst those 55 and over in Canada because they didn't have to worry about wearing condoms while they were first married.
