Sarah Ferguson Is A Mess

It is becoming more and more obvious why Sarah Ferguson was not given an invitation to the forthcoming royal wedding. She is a disaster and has been one from almost day one of the public knowing who she was. I cannot think of a year where she has not done something she ends up apologizing for and now she has done it again. I don't even think it has been a year since she was secretly taped offering influence for money and now she is in trouble again for taking $24K from a billionaire who was convicted of trying to solicit an underage hooker. Sarah Ferguson has apologized for accepting $24,000 from Jeffrey Epstein. She received the money to help pay off some debts and got it right after the guy vacationed with her ex-husband. Wait. Hold on. The guy went on vacation with Prince Andrew? Well, the Prince needs to do some apologizing also. This guy is not a one time bad guy here. He has had to settle a bunch of cases regarding his proclivity for underage women. This is not the guy you want to pal around with and bring near your daughters or have the world think you are best buddies with.

  1. What? What was the money for? Sketchy, all of it. Including Andrew.

  2. I've said it before & I'll say it again:

IMO, This kind of thing is standard operating procedure for ALL royals (except maybe the Queen) - Sarah just has less media protection and handlers to act as a buffer.

She has taken one for the team for this family time and time again.

No one will convince me that affairs and shady business deals aren't the norm for that family.

Only difference is she gets caught.

  3. well, andrew married her so that says a lot about him too.

  4. weird how much he looks like Ted Danson - or is it just me?

  5. I kept telling Andrew that he shoulda married me! LOL

I read at another site that supposedly she will pay back this pervert his money. The question is that she is broke how will she pay him back?? Also it said that Prince Andrew has been paying some of her debts or all of them. Now why would he do that???

  8. I think that she keeps taking one for the team (or should we say Andrew) as well. These two idiots have young adult daughters as well! Makes it even worse. : (

  9. Evidently Oprah helped bail out of her $7M debt. Doesn't say much for Oprah. Fergie is being pursued to be commentator for William and Kate wedding...might as well...it's the closest she'll get to it.

here is the plug from that article. just to keep the 'perspective'. sarah has to actually work for the money.

+++Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is officially out of debt -- thanks, at least in part, to Oprah Winfrey, according to reports from London last night.

Fergie has been taping a reality TV series, "Finding Sarah," for Oprah's OWN cable network, now set to air sometime this summer, which helped pay off a substantial portion of the $7 million debt hanging over the Duchess' head.

Since then, she has fired most of her staff and been counseled by Oprah's financial guru, Suze Ormond, about living within her means.++++

don't expect andrew to come out and apologize for anything. his mum will help him.

  13. Fergie has always been an interesting sort of character. I think she has way too much info (photos?) on Andrew and that's why he keeps her within arms reach.

  14. OMG -- makes me glad I was not born to -- or did not marry into -- the British Royal Family! Both Andrew and Fergie are so pathetic.

  15. Her daughters are in line for the throne after Prince Harry. She does have a little clout with the royal family (until Kate pops out a kid).

  16. I remember watching her wedding to Prince Andrew on TV...they really seemed happy. And I agree with Cecilia - Fergie may do some stupid things but she isn't the only one in that family who does. She just doesn't have the same protection the rest of them do.

Also, I will probably watch her reality show, because that, my friends, is how I roll.

  17. Taking $ from a shady character, vs. going on vacation several times with said shady character? Seems like Andrew needs to do more apologizing than Sarah.

  19. Andrew himself is taking a lot of heat for his connection to this guy. There's a picture circulating with Andrew and one of Epstein's (supposedly under-age) "masseuses," which isn't going over too well with the public, let alone (probably) his family.

Apparently Andrew has a job (non-paid) to rep British interests abroad, and now that his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein has come to light, it's causing an uproar and he's front-page news.

  20. Andrew isn't even Prince Philip's son is he? Thought he belonged to someone the Queen had a dalliance with. Randy Andy had such a nice ring to it back in the 80's. And he was gorgeous. Of course, I'm biased being Welsh and all.

  27. she got the fkn shaft in her divorce! and she's been treated like dog sh-t since.

    Scum bag.

  29. Enty, Sarah Ferguson has made many mistakes and this is one. But she doesn't deserve to be slated like this. She has acknowledged her mistake. Mr Epstien is a peadophile and seems to think he simply has an interesting sexual preference rather than being a pervert. Save your anger for him.

  32. @M-A Diva supposedly more then one.

Could someone PLEASE tell me why the Brits still support a royal family? Why should your tax dollars go to a royal wedding?

I am just curious and not meaning to be rude or mean but as an American with Irish Catholic roots I just don't get why anyone would support the 3 ring circus that is the royal family.

  34. @ardleigh - I agree. I'm Canadian (and Australian) and obviously part of the Commonwealth and I'm just glad none of our taxes are going towards this nonsense, for security or otherwise. I just DON'T CARE about "royals" or weddings, but I know I'm in the minority.

  35. ardleigh..... for the same reason you Americans watch 2 and a half men. Entertainment. Honestly, we are raised from birth respecting the royals and enjoy the monarchy and all the pomp and circumstance it provides.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The Royals bring in tourist $$$.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ardleigh -- PLENTY of American tax dollars go towards things that put me in a blind rage, personally.

I dunno. I don't think anyone in the States has the right to accuse the Brits of wasteful spending. And as Lynette said, it's a spectacle they love watching. There's a whole history of pomp and ceremony in the U.K., and I imagine it's sort of ingrained into the culture. I'm not gonna knock it.

And we *do* have our own Royal Family here -- it basically consists of all the bastards who helm the largest, greediest, and most powerful corporations. Talk about blind allegiance...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh! But I have to say ONE more thing:

LYNETTE. Not ALL Americans watch Two and a Half Men!!!! :-)

  39. Who was it that said (and I'm paraphrasing here,) "In the end, there will only be the king and queen of hearts, spades, clubs, diamonds, and England"?

  41. Aw, Fergie has always gotten the short end of the stick. Diana pulled a helluva lot of crap, but she birthed the MALE heirs. I don't wanna believe Fergie is a bad person and hell, there's lots of folks in financial trouble. I just think as the ex of a royal she should be taken care of for life by that tightwad ex-MIL of her's. I bet the Queen spends more on her dogs.

Ardleigh, I've heard a lot about Prince Philip's alleged cavorting over the years, but nothing about the queen. Where did you hear this?
BTW, I'm sorry, but a woman Sarah's age should have her financial shit together by now. She's been in debt multiple times and has done all kinds of unsavory things to get out of it. Remember her taking money from an undercover reporter in exchange for promising "access" to Prince Andrew? She's a mess.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sophie, Prince Edward's wife, got caught taking money in exchange for promising access to the royals, but she's still part of the family.

The daughter of the late, disgraced Brit tycoon Robert Maxwell procured minor girls for Epstein. Ghislaine Maxwell was paid by Epstein to find young girls and train them into performing sexually for him and to lounge around naked to impress his buddies. Who not only included Prince Andrew, but also Bill Clinton. Andrew and Bill were regular pals of Epstein.

Sarah may have accepted money from him, but her ex husband and our former president associated with a pedophile and the young girls he surrounded himself with.

  44. RQ our tax dollars is going towards this from the heritage fund to bring Will and Kate to Canada at a tune of about $2M i think.

  45. I have always kinda felt bad for Sarah. She really was a breath of fresh air to the Royal family when she got married to Andrew. But, since she was only Duchess of York, she got the short end of the stick for doing things that Diana also admitted doing. And once she got divorced, the Royal family basically dumped her.

I think she is basically a good person, but just hasn't managed to live her life as a non-royal, and expects the bills to be paid. And one way or another, she has paid her debts when she has too, even if means not asking where the money is coming from.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm constantly amazed that people don't put it all together.
An ex-wife can guarantee access to her ex-husband? An ex-husband who is a prince? An ex-husband who she says she would have never left if not for Di pressuring her to do it so she could leave Charles!
Sarah Ferguson rakes up millions upon millions of dollars in debt and yet always manages to pay it back?
    She has never remarried.
    Andrew has never remarried.
They live in the same house.
    They take family holidays together.
    Do the math.
Sarah and Andy are still together, happily unmarried as they say.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Her exhusband hooked her up, and she is getting blamed for it?

She must have less media protection.

  48. The Daily Beast has had several articles about Epstein -- The last being yesterday. Sorry, i don't know how to link you to them.

Andrew spent a fair amount of time at Epstein's Florida home. He had a daily massage while there. Epstein is known for his 2-3 daily massages by under age girls; he went as far as they'd let him go -- Never any "duress" by him. A number of girls were brought in from Europe.

He was charged with several federal and state felonies including sex trafficking but got off with a year of house arrest. Just one of the charges carried a minimum 20 year prison stint.

Bush's A/G said he told the asst. A/G handling the case to do what he could w/o creating a political mess. But this isn't just a Republican scandal. Clinton is quite close to Epstein as are many others. There are flight records [and verbal accounts] of these men being on the same plane with underage girls being flown in to "visit" Epstein. I could go on [sorry, i already have!], but this is someone in the US who is as sick as Polanski, and is still here carrying on the same lifestyle in all probability.

  49. Elspeth,

This creep sounds like he was the basis for a recent episode of Law & Order SVU. A billionaire pedophile that flew in underage girls from Europe for sex. I wondered who that was based on. Unbelievable.

  50. Fergie has NEVER been able to get over those few years of being a Princess/high lifestyle & can't/refuses to cut back. For years, people, companies JUST GAVE HER SERVICES/ITEMS/GIFTS because she was 'former royal' (bragging rights?). If someone charged her, don't know if they EVER GOT PAID. (div. set. was supposedly pittiful). The Roy. Family might have picked things up for awhile, not to be embarrassed, but all good things come to an end. My feelings for her changed when she stopped working, doing charitable work, but the lifestyle did not. The money had to come from somewhere, and she just does not seem to care from WHERE. Or whether her employees get paid, etc. NOT NICE. ANDREW does not seem like a 'PRINCE' either, no pun intended. Maybe that is why the QUEEN spends through her 'ALLOWANCE' and needs to raid the EMERGENCY FUND each year? (cleaning up after her family???)

  51. I've never seen two and a half men for the record and I'm American :)

  52. @jax - if that is true, that infuriates me. I'm ready to leave the commonwealth already. All it does is cost us money.
