There is a new book out which actually has facts about the Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston marriage disintegration. The book was written by one of the producers of Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the guy also hosted Brad Pitt when Jennifer Aniston kicked him out of the house they shared. To me, that is about as gold as it gets.
Apparently Brad was always scheduled to do the movie but when Nicole Kidman was cast and the two got together there was no chemistry. Umm, I am not sure she has chemistry with anyone. So, the producers cast Angelina. Brad and Angelina started hooking up on the set and Jennifer got wind of something, but no one would confirm it to her. During that Caribbean vacation with the Arquettes, Brad told her and she kicked him out. He then went to live with the author of the book until filming was completed.
All this information does not really represent much that is new, except that Angelina and Brad always say he moved out before they hooked up and this kind of contradicts that, and it is nice to have it from Arnon Milchan since he was actually there. The book is called Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon.
and that is just the tip of the iceberg, Angie & Brads relationship is built on lies...the whole thing stinks...and I still think theres something very wrong with the twins...(I know everyone is going to yell at me)
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of this story. By many other accounts, Jennifer and Brad were having trouble long before this related to career vs. family. There was already a fracture, which makes it easier for a third party to come in and complete the break. Honestly, at this point...Angie and Brad are a good pair. I'm not sure Brad and Jen were. Can we move on now?

ReplyDeleteI believe that brad & Jen were having marriage troubles - that's how.a 3rd party is successful - still it's interesting in that this really seems to be a true account of how it went down and it's not how they tried to sell it to the press.
ReplyDeleteBut whatever. To RQ's point, TheBrand have been together for 7 years and have 6 kids together. I hope they are happy just as I hope Jen Aniston is happy in her new relationship.
not surprised, it is nice to see Brad thrown under the bus since it is always Angelina who gets all the flack. I tend to blame the cheating husband more than the girlfriend. You never know what they tell the girlfriend that makes her believe he is "secretly" available. Then again, Angie does have a history of snatching other womens men. If your in a bad relationship, get out before you start canoodling with other people.

I am glad that someone with ACTUAL knowledge of the situation is saying something though. It's nice to hear after years of made-up quotes and leaks.
Agree with Big Mama. Perfect lesson of be careful what you wish for. I hope they're all happy. At least they don't seem to be the ones slinging the dirt. Not good for the kids.

ReplyDeleteYou know, with as much as Hollywood swaps partners, and how short marriages are - I would believe that the 5-6 year Brad&Jen marriage would be rapidly dissolving. And since they didn't have kids together, I really don't care all that much about how/why/who ended what.

ReplyDeleteI agree with RQ too. And I think the ALL the J-P kids are FINE. In fact, it's not really my business ANYTHING about their children's HEALTH or personal lives. I'm sure if Knox & Viv suffered any early issues (common in multiple births), at least we can all be THRILLED that the twins will get the best therapy money can buy, AND have lots of brothers & sisters, who will always love them AS THEY ARE anyway? Right? Because I really hope I wasn't hearing a tinge of GLEE that any child would have health problems?!?
ReplyDeleteAs far as Brad & Jen, we all watched her choose movies over a family ---that she said, with Brad sitting right next to her, she would be able to start when Friends ended. She kept putting it off, and Brad was 40 or close to it. The marriage became intractable. Big deal.
I really think Brad & Ang are the real deal. Watch them break up b/c I said that. Ugh.
I wonder if Jen reads this stuff, laughs and wonders why *we* keep rehashing their breakup. She's been through at least 10 guys since Brad.
ReplyDeletelibby - i was right with you up until the last paragraph. i don't think any of us know that they broke up because she kept putting off having children. For all we know, she might have decided to put off having children because she could sense that their marriage was on shaky ground and wanted to fix it before bringing a baby into that environment.

ReplyDeleteWhen Brad and Jen got married I remember reading something about their house and how he made all the decisions about the architecture, furnishings, etc. Kind of made him sound like an overbearing douche. I doubt Angie lets him wear the trou all the time.
ReplyDeleteI love JA (if only because of her character Rachel on "Friends") but I do think she's sort of wishy-washy IRL, so when faced with that gorgeous, hypersexual, tattooed, blood-vial wearing sexual freak o' nature Angelina, really, could any man resist? Brad probably felt as if he was hit by a bus.
see, I kinda always thought Jen couldn't have kids. I know the opposite was said, but seems like I also heard she was having trouble concieving.
ReplyDelete^BigMama, it's been suggested by Lainey (and a few others) that during the last few years of Friends she was taking male hormones because she was obsessed with her weight and size. It made becoming pregnant an impossibility. There are also a lot of stories about Jen being obsessed with calories and carbs and bursting into tears at a restaurant when Brad wanted to order something carby and fatty because he wouldn't "support her". Honestly, Jen sounded high maintenance.

ReplyDeleteLove Arnon's books. He's had a hand in some of my favorite movies of all time. He has dirt on everybody too I bet. The story of how Alec Baldwin absolutely refused to shave his beard for "The Edge" is his best story. I know he's good friends with De Niro and I'd love to read some dirt on him. probably in the next book.

clearly she is unhappy in her life somewhere. let's not pretend Brad and ang are living a charmed life. i give them another year. IMO Brad is sticking around until Angie gets her shit together...either she's on drugs,sick or sick with an eating disorder.

They say 1 in 10 children are not fathered by the man on their birth certificate. That's a whole lot of cheating going on yet people act like this is the first time ever! Is it because JAs character on friends was really sweet and oblivious that we think Brad cheated on Rachael and that offends us?
Angelina stole Billy Bob from Laura Dern, so her history shows clear she loves the taken guys.

"Angelina stole Billy Bob ". People aren't property, so they can't be stolen. brad was a grown up in a committed relationship. he broke his own marriage vows. if he didn't respect his marriage, why in the world would someone else?

She doesn’t have a clue how to satisfy a man. Jennifer’s scene in “Friends with Money” where she just lays there motionless with her eyes open while some guy uses her body to masturbate with looks very natural. She doesn’t even have to act.

I agree that it is old news, but I think there is interest in it due to all the lies around the break-up. AJ lied about hooking up with Pitt, and JA lied about being in the dark. All three of these people milk this torrid tale for all its worth: JA gets the sympathy vote, Pitt gets the sympathy card for wanting to be a father, and AJ gets to look like a femme fatale/seductress. It's all gravy publicity for them.
ReplyDeleteAs others have mentioned, JA and Pitt already had troubles. JA did an interview with Barbara Walters where she stated she did not know if Pitt was her soulmate. I found that quite revealing, and I also do not think JA really wants kids. She just does not want to cut off her fan base by saying so.
