The Jobs picture is sad. I couldn't believe he beat the pancreatic cancer the first time around, it has an overwhelming mortality rate. Usually by the time it's diagnosed, you have a couple of months left, if that.

ReplyDeleteSorry to sound so pessimistic, but Steve Jobs has relapsed pancreatic cancer. That's one of, if not THE worst cancers one can have. He's not going to survive this, that's why he resigned. It's very sad, and he looks end-stage to my (not amateur) eyes. May he make the transition with as little pain as possible and live his remaining days to the fullest surrounded by his loved ones.

I'm in total agreement with LMSaM - this is very definitely end-stage cancer. Years ago he had both a Whipple procedure and liver transplant; those procedures gave him extra years in which he accomplished much. As someone who lost a parent to cancer (and has a friend now battling stage 4 glioblastoma), this (his) appearance is unmistakable.

ReplyDeleteSteve seems pretty far gone. How heartbreaking. Agree that I wish this photo wasn't posted. Talk about a game changer. Not a lot of people can say that they have impacted the world on such a huge scale and how we all live our lives the way Steve Jobs can. Truly an innovator.

ReplyDeleteThere's some pretty good arguments that the Steve Jobs picture was shopped to make him look more frail than he is- but obviously his health must be poor as it is to step down from the company that he obviously loves very much. Very sad.

Yeah, I don't wish that disease on anyone. That being said, he did a lot of horrible things to a lot of his loved ones (he denied his child, etc.). I am not saying he deserves any of it, just that maybe he can take this time to redo and reconcile.
ReplyDeleteWhen my Dad was dying of cancer I go the shock of my life one day when I saw his arm, and it was smaller than mine. He had always been so big and strong, I just couldn't fathom it.

TMZ posted a series of photos of Jobs. If one is photoshopped, they all are. They came out last week and I haven't seen any denials. If they are authentic, it's unfortunate and I wish they had not been taken. If they are faked, that is pure evil and the perpetrator(s) should be very ashamed (but apparently, there is no shame left in this country). Jeri's post about Steve is perfect, so I will just say "+1" to her.
ReplyDeleteDemi Lovato looks great and I am disgusted that people were addressing her directly on twitter and calling her fat. I would like every one of those losers to post a photo of themselves in a bathing suit, I'm sure most of them had no right to say one word about her looks.
So I have nothing nice to say about Kim Kardashian. HOWEVER, last night at the MTV VMA awards she walked onstage with a body straight outta another era- I know it is waaaay unfortunate for any girl this generation to look up to her BUT for her to proudly rock that body just makes me ssooooo happy. Ditto for Demi Lovato.

Omg- ya know, I dont know what it is but I count her as someone who did not age well after their stunning childhood looks. I dont know if its the result of an ED or too much botox/plastic work BUT I havent thought Brooke sheilds was like a beautiful healthy woman since her tv show back in the day.
I don't know what rock I've been living under but I didn't know until this weekend that Jobs even had cancer. That pic is SO heartbreaking.

Chaz is not grossing me out, but I do wish he would lose some weight. I think Dancing with the has-been's and sort-of Stars will help with that, which is the only reason Chaz is doing it.

Steve Jobs is obviously dying. I was not happy when TMZ posted this and wish that Enty had not either. I pray he is heavily medicated so he is not in pain and with his loved ones. Very sad.

ReplyDeleteUgh about Demi! This is the problem I have with body image. She is NOT fat. She is not "skinny" either, BUT SHE'S NOT FAT. I hate that people call her fat just as I hate how people call naturally slender girls too skinny (not Angelina...she doesn't look healthy.) UGH.

ReplyDeletedemi; 10 lbs of stuff in a 5 lb bag. if she doesn't want people to comment on her body; don't wear an outfit that has so much of it spilling out. bad choice of an outfit. you can weigh 175 and look hot, and i suspect she weighs much less, so why pour her into a too-tiny dress?
