Apparently the 50,000 people that showed up in Wales for the Michael Jackson tribute concert had a great time. Most of the acts that performed seemed to also. That is, if they bothered to show up. Black Eyed Peas canceled last week due to unavoidable circumstances. That means they were probably not paid or were going to get way less than what they were promised. Ditto with Jennifer Hudson who canceled last week too, but no one bothered to say anything until she sent a message to her fans right before the show.
Two of the brothers and Janet Jackson thought it was a bad idea to have the concert while the trial of Dr. Murray was going on, but Katherine showed up as did Michael's children. Sounds like some typical Jackson family dysfunctional-ism.
Tell me again why they had the concert in Wales?
Oh Christina, no no no no no no! She and Britney BOTH need to give up those costumes. They both look horrendous. And Xtina's hair is a fucking nightmare!

becuase I doubt they could get 50,000 Americans to show up and pay if it was in the U.S.

To me it was like if Marilyn Monroe had a daughter who wore her famous white dress to a tribute. Lets leave the white dresses and Thriller jackets to the people that made them iconic- not to the offspring who didnt have dick to do with it.

ReplyDeleteWhy do a concert at all? Desperate for money/stay relevant? It's not like MJ would realistically have been able to pull off that final tour, those glory days were well over, give it a rest.

All 3 of his children are wearing replicas of outfits their father wore in videos or performances. It's kind of cute and sweet, but its still wrong somehow. As I said, I hope they will be okay, especially the youngest one.

I find those comments about the kids not being Michael's highly offensive. Even if he's not the biological father they're still his kids! I wouldn't want to be an adoptee around any of those insensitive people on here.

ReplyDeleteSome guesses: Katherine was there as the children's guardian, Janet had strong feelings about not attending while the trial is on (I respect that.) If Jermaine wasn't there it was because he wanted money and center-stage in the show and the producers wouldn't give him either.
