Jonathan Rhys Meyers Gets Suspended Sentence

A French court today sentenced Jonathan Rhys Meyers to a one year suspended sentence and fined him 1000 euros. This is a result of an incident that happened way back in 2009. Wow, the court system moves just as slowly there as it does here. Jonathan was drunk and waiting to board a plane when he threatened to kill three French police officers.

He did so because a bartender had cut him off so Jonathan kicked the guy. The police came and Jonathan basically was an a-hole and told them he would donate a million dollars to killing them. Nice. For his part, Jonathan says he does not even remember it happening.

  1. Ugh, I sure hope he has straightened himself out. I really am rooting for him. I know he's been such an asshole, but it sounds like the booze talking, he's got a bad addiction. Time will tell I suppose.

  5. I hope by now he has gotten himself back on track. When you get cut off at a bar, you are in really bad shape.
