Today's Blind Items

This actor is probably a C list. He has definitely had times where he has been a B or B+, but that was when times were good and he was getting some good roles in some very popular movies. Now, he basically is a fringe guy. Movies, television, whatever it takes to earn a buck. If you saw him you would know exactly who he is, but would probably not remember his name. Anyway, going from making a million bucks a year to significantly less than that has transformed him from more of a happy kind of guy to one who goes on some seriously violent rampages. His wife has left him several times, generally to protect their child/ren. Our actor has punched walls, torn down chandeliers, and even took a baseball bat to his refrigerator. His wife considers herself lucky to have only suffered a few bruises here and there, mainly while trying to calm her husband down during one of his rages. His most recent one was on Halloween when he tore down all of the decorations in and outside of the house and even yelled at kids walking down the street that there would be no f**king Halloween at his house this year.

  1. How sad! I hope his wife leaves with the kids and it forces him to get the help he so obviously needs. Poor kids.

  2. Someone on Fringe?

  3. sounds like a real catch

  4. Joshua Jackson came to mind - no kids though and he and Diane Kruger aren't married.

  5. For some reason I keep thinking this is a brat pack'er,

  6. If I probably wouldn't know his name I can't really guess, can I?

  7. cdanluva made me snort.

  8. Greg Grunberg is supposed to be very nice and not generally seen in movies (to my knowledge) but he's the type of actor I think of when I read the clues.
But, MontanaMarriott may be more accurate as far as age/career age.

  9. I was going to say Michael Keaton until I saw the "not remember his name" line.

  10. What about the Baldwin brother whose wife was arrested? Is it Daniel?

  11. Anthony Michael Hall

  12. I guess if you make it in Hollywood you need to save save save because soon your star quality will wane and then your left with nada.

  13. This guy has got to be on something ... crack is wack

  14. William Fichtner

  15. I think angie has it with Michael Madsen

  16. Michael Madsen, great actor, B+ list at his peak but he had the drug & alcohol thing...so the rage makes sense. He's fallen a long long way, but it was mostly his own fault for pissing people off and getting a reputation as impossible to work with.

  17. I immediately thought of Timothy Olyphant. I don't know why. I met him once and he was super nice too, but he kinda fits.

  18. Michael Madsen doesn't do TV. And who'd ever call him B+ except in my heart?

Does William Fichtner? And same question re: the B+ness.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Not Olyphant. He stars on a critically acclaimed show, Justified.

  20. Fichtner was on Prison Break as a guest star and then as a regular. He guest starred on the last two seasons of Entourage. He seems to be doing more TV than anything else now.

  21. Not only that but Olyphant still stars in big-budget movies, too. Someone's not paying attention.

  22. @Beth: He has four upcoming movies, including one with Matt Damon. I'd forgotten all about "Prison Break," which is several years old by now. He still has a good career, thank cow! (And I didn't watch the last season of "Entourage." Did it get watchable again?)

  23. No, it did not. However, I sometimes question whether it was ever truly watchable.

  24. Is it that Judd what's his name - the guy in 'Breakfast Club'?

    ReplyDelete
  25. @ Madlib Judd Nelson?

  26. While we're on 80s actors, what about Judge Reinhold? Co-starred in some big films and has a pretty recognizable face.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I worked on a Judge Reinhold film in the 80's and he was a pain, but I think he's working pretty steadily, altho not a lot.

  28. Michael Madsen has done TV according to IMDB.

  29. Who is the guy who played Marcia Cross's husband on DH? The one who wound up in the wheelchair on the show? He was in several movies in the 1990s then disappeared for a while and then came back?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Michael Rappaport? He got charged with harrassing Lili Taylor when they were dating.

    ReplyDelete
  31. For some reason I thought of Steve Zahn but I don't know anything about him personally. He's just done a TON of work but very few leads roles.

  32. I have no guess (sorry, I suck at these), but cdanluva's guesses made me laugh really hard.

    @Red - Steven Culp

@Goober - Noooooo! Steve lives in KY with his wife/kids, so hopefully Enty couldn't get gossip that far away. ;) (Plus, I love him, so it can't be him).

  33. Hah! Judd Nelson went to college with my sister, hung out in her gang, until he dropped out and went Hollywood. Sort of--she was at the women's college, and he was at the brother school across the street.

And Judge Reinhold is from right here in my town, went to one of the popular private schools. Was, like, 27 when he did Fast Times.

  34. Michael Madsen has done FIFTEEN movies this year ALONE. The last time he did a single TV episode was 2005. He's not married. Please explain how he fits this blind.

    Thank you.

  35. Trina - I have friends in the LA area who live near Michael Rappaport. They see him at this one pizza place they go to quite a bit. They say he is a major ASS!! He made some documentary about A Tribe Called Quest or whatever and my friends went to the preview of it. Michael Rappaport was there and so was his family. My friends heckled him as he spoke and his little nephew (who sat right in front of them) tried to defend him. Pretty funny. Anyways. Tangent much?

  36. Don't ask me why but the first one that came to mind was Woody Harrelson. I know , I know - weed usually doesn't make you rage like that but for whatever reason he is who I thought of! Oh and still laughing at the Ben Affleck guess! Every time some one guesses him it cracks me up.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like the Breckin Meyer guess...he's who I was picturing but couldn't think of the name til I saw it posted.

    Michael Rapaport...maybe...

Jay Mohr strikes me as super sweet...something I read about his support of his wife Nikki who was a beajuty but obviously has that self image disorder where you do tragic things to your face with plastic surgery. Anyway, it seems he's really stood by her, which is cool...

  38. What about Mark Hamill?

    Obviously Star Wars..

He's done a great deal of TV. And video games ("Anything to make a buck"?)

  39. this screams character actor to me. how about joe pantoliano (sp?)...

  40. Missjenny319 yor friends are really rude and disrespectful.

  41. I would agree with @Mayrose. Anthony Michael Hall was arrested a little while ago fighting with a neighbor. "According to the L.A. Times, a neighbor in Hall's Venice, Calif., condo complex told Los Angeles Police Department officers that the actor had torn up plans in one of the complex's common areas."

  43. Definitely Ray Liotta. I actually worked with an actor who knew him. He said Ray Liotta is a major possessive control freak with his wife and has a horrible temper. He wouldn't let her do anything without his permission.
