National Enquirer Blind Item

HIS long-running, critically acclaimed series has ended, but this Emmy winner is still whining to anyone who will listen about it being over. The smarmy star feels it was his best role ever, and he’s a nervous wreck, fearing his career is all downhill from here! Who is he?

  1. easy peasy and he's right. that role was probably his peak.

  2. Matthew Fox from Lost?

  3. James Gandolfino? He's not smarmy so maybe Piven

  4. I believe Piven is the definition of smarmy. I looked it up in Webster's. ; )

  5. Didn't the Piv think he's too good for TV, even cable, and thought he's gonna be a movie star?

Matthew Fox is smarmy. Right down disgusting with women. He has quite the rep.

  6. What ever happened with that case between Fox & the bus driver? I read she had dropped the charges and then he was suing her. I can't remember what the details were but it didn't make any sense.

  7. Actually, Matthew Fox said he was done with TV after Lost. He wanted to either do films or do something else entirely. He wanted to move near his family and just kind of live life for awhile. He wanted to slow down some so I don't think he's still whining 2 and a half years later.

Nor has he won an Emmy. Just been nominated.

  9. The Piv should freshen up his plugs because Mark Wahlberg has said the Entourage movie was very likely.

  10. The Piv *sounds* like the right answer except for this...when the hell was Entourage ever critically acclaimed?

  11. Entourage was critically acclaimed? It was nominated for a shit ton of emmys and golden globes and won a few of them.

  12. For some reason as soon as I read this Kelsey Grammer jumped into my head. Frasier was certainly critically acclaimed, and his behavior during his divorce counts as plenty smarmy in my opinion. Unfortunately I can't find any evidence of his having won an Emmy, so I guess it's not him.

  13. Was Chuck critically acclaimed? Because Zach Levi is out of a job now and did everything he could to keep it on the air.

  14. kelsey grammer did win in 04.

the only other winners in the past 10 years of shows that have ended and lasted more than 5 years are tony shalhoub, kiefer sutherland, michael chiklis, and james gandolfini.

  15. "Boss" was renewed for a second season so not Kelsey .. dammit! [really dislike that guy.] However, my friend Louise is an extra on that show, so she is thrilled .. especially after "The Chicago Code" bit it last year. She was doing extra work there too.

But .. I am gonna stay with the Chicago theme .. and say that ass Piv. And his parents were so nice. How did this happen??

  16. Entourage was critically acclaimed?

    Seriously?

I think it's Kelsey Grammar, too. He's had some luck on Broadway, but Frasier was a far showier and more lauded role.

  17. I'm still whining about LOST being over (see yesterday's Random Photos post featuring Josh Holloway), but I'm not an Emmy-winner. Or an actor. Or a he. ;)

  18. what about kelsey grammer?

  19. Kelsey Grammer? His show has been over for nearly a decade. Frasier went off the air in 2004. I think it could be the Piv.
