One More Time For The Spice Girls

Now that the Spice Girls musical is a definite go, I definitely think you will see the group perform at some point in the connection of the opening of the show. Because of the time they have spent talking about the musical and hanging out with each other, it is only natural there has been some reunion talk. Not another tour. I don't think anyone wants to see that again. It was way too long and way too may places were played. However, I think that if they held a show during the Olympics in London this summer, they could sell out Wembley Stadium. They could go out in a blaze of glory and make a ton of money and have the whole world watching them and I think it is something you will see if they can find the place to do it during the Olympics.

  1. I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want - another Spice Girl tour! I know it won't happen, but I can wish, this I swear. I want it!

  3. If you had told me back in '97 that these chicks would still be around fifteen years later -- and that POSH, of all people, would be the most famous one -- I would have laughed my ass off.

Ginger was always my favorite, but isn't Sporty the only one who can carry a tune?

Two things are guaranteed: this tour is gonna cost WAY too much, and there will be a LOT of lipsyncing.

  4. Sporty was always my favorite. Loved her back flips.

If I were the sixth Spice Girl, I'd be Potty Mouth Spice.

  5. Forgot to add: My boyfriend travels extensively for his job and brings me small gifts, many of them silly and amusing.

In a drugstore in the UK he got me Spice Girl make up kit! I still have it in the original packaging. Not that I'd ever use it. The colors are hideous!

  6. Fittingly enough, today is Baby Spices' (Emma) 36th bday.

I would go see them if Beckham was promised to be in the audience as well.

  11. Mango that is GREAT!
(I'm showing my age here but the first thing I thought was Crockett and Tubbs)

  12. Their music was fun. If they put out a few new songs I'm sure they'd be a hit. (Gaga's stealing Ace of Base of Madonna songs from that same era, it's really surprising she hasn't gone for the Spice Girls.)

  19. @BigMama and ABlake..you guys made my day.

And just how freakin' skinny is Posh? Lord woman, have a doughnut!

I think I am the only one who has never actually heard a Spice Girls song. Some of us just live charmed lives. What can I say.

  20. Thank God Posh took out those hideous cantaloupe-sized implants. She looks fucking ridiculous here.

I wonder what she thinks about tits like that now that she has a daughter? Would she ever approve of Harper 8675309 sporting knockers like that?

  21. @Manda_kitty - I do!! Loved that song!

  22. @Pogue Mahone it took me to be tipsy to actually catch onto what your name actually means...nice one!

@Mango, the photo is gone :( I wanted to see how ugly it was. And that's awesome of your boyfriend!

I was no fan but you couldn't escape them back then. I know everyone liked Sporty the most but her voice was like nails on a chalkboard (just like Rihanna's). Scary's ugly accent when speaking would make me nuts. And does anyone remember Ginger's super awesome solo album? God it was so bad.

  24. LOL@Old Spice from BigMama.

I guess that leaves me with Dyke Spice. But I think that's Sporty Spice's alter ego, so I'll just be Nice Spice. Or I'll try.

  25. OK. I feel dumb. What does Pogue Mahone mean? Please help...

  26. I don't get it either Gladys.

  28. I googled it. :-) It means "kiss my ass." Or "arse," if you wanna get all gaelically technical about it.

  29. Can I be, I'll think, say and eat whatever I want Spice.

  30. I remember my friends in HS coming back from some cheer leading event in London with a cd of this band no one had heard of yet....Spice Girls. You have to admit, If You Wanna Be My Lover has some great lyrics. ;)
