Madonna Has A Lot Of Anger Towards Guy Ritchie

Apparently Madonna is under the impression that while she was married to Guy Ritchie she had to hide in the shadows and not be her real self. She has a song on her new album which has lyrics like "I tried to be a good girl/I tried to be your wife/Diminished myself/And I swallowed my light/I tried to become all/That you expect of me/And if it was a failure/I don't give a f**k."

I'm not sure Madonna has ever taken a back seat to anyone and I'm also not sure how she diminished herself during the marriage. She was making music and going on tour and acting in movies and being her normal Madonna self.

  1. Madonna's song 'Sorry,' which she wrote about Ritchie when she was still married to him, is one of the angriest relationship songs I've ever heard.

  2. yes. that seemed a bit surprising that madge would think that she was hiding her light.

but, I guess if someone got 93 or so million from me, even if I had scads more, I'd be a bit peeved.

  3. She is def pissed about the money...while he thinks it made the torture worthwhile...

  4. It's all relative - meaning, out of all the people you know that are divorced, do you think if you asked them "when you were married to Joe, were you held back in any way, do you feel like you weren't being true to yourself?" you know, all those type of generic fluff questions. Anyway, I bet 99% would say they were held back and they weren't being "true to themselves" etc. Everyone wants sympathy. You'll never hear anyone say "I was perfectly myself during that marriage, I learned a lot and grew from it".
    Blah, I'm not awake.

    I agree with you, Princess.

If Madonna was so bad, wouldn't that make Guy Ritchie some weak little mouse? Would anyone here describe him as that?

  6. Bitch just can't stand the fact that he's happy.

  7. for once in her life, she discovered she was not the center of the world and he said her (i guess she's angry about the money divorce also)

  9. Madonna is stupid old cunt. No one cares anymore.

  10. I remember when Guy & Madonna were dating and gossip sites were saying he was just using her to get ahead with his career. Clearly, that worked he went from an obscure director to helming Sherlock Holmes.

I think she tried very hard to just be Mrs. Ritchie, but that only lasts so long for meglomaniacs.

    I still love her though.

  11. By trying to be a good wife, does that mean the fake British accent?

I think that he didn't cowtow to her every whim and tried to be an equal in the marriage and she didn't like it.

In her mind it's Madonna first, last and always.

  12. @timebob: Ritchie was a promising director before to meet Madge and did his worst movies during his marriage (remember his movie "swept away" with her)

  13. @MISCH - hope you check this - have you found something that works for a migraine? I've tried many but haven't found anything other than serious narcotics, which I don't like to take. Would love any suggestions. (I tried to email you but when I clicked your email link it made Firefox go crazy and opened about twenty tabs, weird.)

  14. @FrenchGirl I agree Lock, Stock.. was a great movie. I even liked Snatch. But he got a ton of free press becuase he was married to Madonna. Yes Swept Away was god awful and just a vehicle for Madge.

They were together almost 10 years so they at least tried to make it work.

  15. @EmEyeKay - do you live in a state with medicinal MJ? That can help migraines.

  16. He beat the crap out of her while they were married so I can very reasonably see why she is angry at him and feels he stole her light.

    ReplyDelete
  17. She was abused by both of her husbands so I see where the anger comes from. I doubt that she was very nice to be married to, not that it excuses a beating. She strikes me as a very controlling bitch.

  18. Seemed to me that she grew/learned a little much-needed class whilst married to Guy and living amongst his peeps during their marriage.

But hearing that he might've abused her is extremely not cool no matter how horrible she is to live with!

    First I'd heard/read about that.

  19. @Seachica - I think I'm your neighbor, we have them. I have tried it, and it does help some of the symptoms, but not enough. Plus, it's the same problem as the opiates - if I'm baked, I can't function normally.

  20. @EmEyeKay - hope you see this.

My doctor gave me a sample of something called Maxalt RPD - it is a "wafer" that melts when you put it on your tongue. I had to use two of these before I got any relief.

Maybe you could ask your doctor about this.

  21. @Surfer, thanks! I will ask my doc about it. Does it work well for you?

  22. @EmEyeKay:

I tried everything available to me and gave up trying to help my migraines. My doctor prescribed Cambia and it has worked wonders.

Take it when you feel one coming on, and in THIRTY minutes I'm great. I can funtion clearly, am able to drive and have no after-effects from the drug or the migraine. Ask your doc for a sample. I don't believe it's a narcotic.

  23. @EmEyeKay - it did help, after a while.

My problem is that sometimes I have trouble differentiating between a regular headache and a migraine, and therefore wait too long to take the proper meds.

Most people, when they get a migraine, have a sensitivity to light and sound, which doesn't happen with me. My doctor had to finally explain that pain on one side of the head is a migraine, as opposed to pain all over.

I also hate taking meds, so I'll usually start with something like Aleve, then if the pain is still there an hour or two later, take more Aleve. It's when the headache won't away or the nausea kicks in, that a light goes off and I realize it's a migraine. At that point, not a whole lot helps.

    But the Maxalt did work.

  24. EmEyeKay I use the same one that works for my mom, just the new version the original was FIORINAL and the new version is FIORICET, I swear by it there are 2 versions a tablet which I use and a capsule which has codeine in it.
I can actually break the tablet in half. My doctor gave me one of the new pills that are not pain killers they do something to the blood vessels. Needless to say it didn't work. I'm sticking to my FIORICET.

Guy Richie's career was in the toilet while he was with Madge, it took off again after they separated.

  25. My question is why she didn't learn from her first husband? She wrote the same stuff about Sean Penn. It reflects badly on her for not learning from her mistakes. She was 42 when she married Ritchie, so she comes of as lacking introspection and emotional maturity. Not that I'm surprised by that!

She, for whatever reason, won't own up to liking controlling men. I found Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn had a lot in common. They were both from elite families, Penn's acting/directing family, Ritchie is related to royalty, and both guys liked to pretend to be from the wrong side of the tracks and be very physical. Vadge has a very definite type she goes for, so she should be writing songs about her neurosis.

  26. Madonna certainly had a lot of random injuries when she was married to Guy. I think that may be the reference to "be a good girl/tried to be your wife/diminished myself."

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree with FrenchGirl.

Marriage means you give yourself to the greater cause, so it's really not about YOU. Especially, when there are childrens involved.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Let it go Madonna. You are looking like a bitter hag when you come out with stuff like this.

  29. @Terri, Surfer, MISCH, Seachica - thanks much for your help. I'll take the names with me to my next appointment, hopefully one of them will work. None of them sound familiar, don't think I've tried them. Doctors will often just hand you whatever a rep has recently pushed, so your experience is helpful. Thanks again!

  30. @EmEyeKay, I saw Patti Stanger say she gets Botox injections to help with her migraines. If none of the meds work, that might be an option.

  31. I cannot believe he took all that money from her!!!! What is he, a gigilo? He makes his own money, y wld he take hers????? I lose respect for men and women who do this.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wasn't it her choice to adopt the little boy not Guy's?? Always felt Madonna was the one with the pants not Guy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Madonna's right, she wasn't her real self when she was married to Ritchie. She was channeling some posh, highborn British lady, complete with horses, spaniels and country seat.

  34. I guess, her theory of attaining Director skills via sperm insemination was a complete failure. He failed her as a film mentor and she's letting the world know. She's regaining youth based on the method. Some people never learn.

  35. Don't buy that Guy abused her.

Was this the same woman who proudly wore a "Mrs. Richie" jacket????????

Actually, I don't believe a word that comes out of her mouth. Especially the words that say she wrote a song and then actually is SINGING it (without Autotune).

  37. EmEyeKay, sometimes oil of mint works to help mitigate a migraine -- rub some under your nose. I hope you find relief. Migraines suck.

Oh, Madonna's pretty pissed I'd say, but I agree...move on, sister. You're making yourself look bad.

  38. All my migraines seem to be sinus related so Advil Cold & Sinus (or whichever generic with pseudoephedrine) works for me.

If you watch Madonna's video "Oh Father" from the late 80s, you are left with the suggestion that her father was rather "strong-handed", shall we say, with her and her siblings when she was growing up and now that's what she's attracted to in her husbands.

  39. I like Vadge's dad! I remember when he came on Arsenio Hall. He came across as very down-to-earth and not into Vadge's narcissism.

  40. @EmEyeKay - have you tried acupuncture? Many promising studies and can be used in conjunction with meds until you don't need meds anymore. No yucky side effects either! I swear by it!!! And I have more energy afterwards.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @surfer @seachica @misch @terri - git yo self some acupuncture. It does amazing things for migraines and tension headaches and sinus congestion. Don't need meds or significantly less meds after several treatments. Women get far more HA than men. We need to look out for each other.

  42. @dia papaya - haven't tried that, but my mother keeps telling me it's the way to go. Thank you!

I KNOW there must be some underlying issue, they're too frequent, and horrible. Of course I'm under a LOT of stress, I mean a lot... and they seem to be getting more frequent, as well as longer, as the pressure builds.

@Netta, Feraltart, thank you (haven't heard of either of those remedies).

  43. @timebob: He was not obscure. He was the new director everyone was talking about when they married. I read somewhere that it was Brad Pitt who approached him about working together, that's how Brad ended up in Snatch. It was actually during their marriage that Guy's career stalled. His next good movie (well, to me at least) was RocknRolla, which he made around the time they started living apart. I think she's pissed about the money, the fact that he seems to have happily moved on, and the decade she spent with him instead of hanging out with the hot young studs she's been babysitting these days.
