Christina was cast in Drive after the wife of director Nicolas Winding Refn saw a picture of her and thought she was beautiful. Refn contacted Christina's people and had her read for the role.

ReplyDeleteHef pic- girl with horrible crystal and magenta strappy shoes and french pedicure and toes hanging off the end- go barefoot next time you are having a picture taken please. Or just take pictures that don't show your feet. That is a crime against my eyes.
And speaking of crimes against my eyes- JLO- WTF is that? Is it supposed to look like a tongue or some sort of external lady part? The pix aren't that bad waist up but below I think they may give me nightmares.

So Blake's acting on Gossip Girl consists of standing in pretty clothes with a phone on her ear? And she doesn't have an Emmy yet? Shocking.
ReplyDeleteChristina Hendricks picked up one of the easiest paychecks in recent memory for that movie: two lines, two hundred grand, and about five minutes of screen time. Admittedly, she is in the movie's most technically difficult/interesting shot - and I'm not talking about the one involving the exploding head. Beyond that, it's not a memorable role for her.

I have to say that Jon Hamm is a really nice guy. I remember when he was here (Boston) filming for "The Town" and he was so nice to everyone he came across.
