I don't think those things are permanent even with crazy glue. Skin is constantly flaking off. I would think whatever glue was used would flake off with the skin cells the glue was affixed to.

I carry stuff in one hand all the time to make opening doors easier. Apparently it's common practice in the military so soldiers can salute faster. Katie pretty much takes orders from Tommy Boy and Xenu all the time -- makes sense.
