Kristen Stewart Named Best Dressed Woman By Glamour - Not A Joke

You know that the editors at Glamour were smoking crack on the job or something if they named Kristen Stewart the best dressed woman of 2012. They are also wanting young people to read their magazine. What better way than to have a bunch of Twi-hards start reading Glamour and the best way to do that is to name Kristen Stewart the best dressed. You know, because trucker hats, Converse shoes and jeans are better than what anyone else wears in the world.

Does Kristen Stewart have good days? Absolutely. Those days consist of movie premieres and award ceremonies where someone else styles her. Every other day of the year its jeans and Converse. If you always thought that publicists or ratings or subscribers have nothing to do with awards this should show you how wrong that line of thinking is. I bet the editors went back and forth between Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart and only picked Kristen because she has a larger red carpet gallery of photos to make their story more plausible.

  1. Is this for real? K Stewart seems like she would be a "Don't"!

  2. This is all just for media PR for Snow White.

I am acutally looking forward to Snow White & The Huntsman but not for KStoo but for Charlize & Thor.

  3. Exactly Enty. She looks beyond fabulous for red carpet and awards, but her everyday wear is tee shirts and jeans.

  4. Yeah, timebob, I'm so torn. I want to see it, but KStew....ugh.

  5. I knew that someday the fashion world would "get" zip-up hoodies.

  6. Doesn't she always wear those same stank looking black converse with no socks, sometimes even on the red carpet with a dress?

    ReplyDelete
  7. If that's best dressed, then I'm off the charts.

  8. Nothing could stop me from seeing Thor...not even KStew

  9. I have yet to see one picture of her where she actually looks comfortable, let alone works it, wearing a dress.

  10. If Glamour is trying to get the younger set, they really blew it with this pic. Kristen Stewart is yesterday's news. Jennifer Lawrence is today's.

  11. At least Jennifer Lawrence can smile without looking like it causes the most pain in the world.

  12. Emma Watson would have been a better choice if they are looking for the young set.

  13. I don't hate the way she dresses. It's not my style at all but I find she pulls off what she wears. Although "Best Dressed" is kind of ridiculous but whatever. It's not Vogue saying it.

  14. It's not even Glamour saying it - it's Glamour UK.

  15. I will give her (or her stylist) credit for her always looking amazing on the red carpet. She dresses young and fun, just like she should, but she always looks like she can't wait to get out of those heels.

Everyday best dressed....please. I don't necessarily mind what she wears so much as she looks hungover with no makeup and her hair is ALWAYS dirty. Dry shampoo, Kristen. Seriously, try it.

In this pic she actually looks good. She's wearing something besides a hoodie and she has on makeup. *Obviously low standards here*

  16. I dress in jeans and converse shoes and band t shirts on the regular but I would not consider myself to be fashionable. I wear what I want, I don't care what anyone else does. I think KStew is like that as well but she is clearly not dressing herself on the red carpet. Her stylist should have won. Or they should have picked Jennifer L. She looks good on and off the red carpet.

  17. Enty's probably right about why Stewart was chosen, although I'll add to that that I think she's probably the most talented actress of her generation, and I actually admire the fact that she doesn't seem to give a damn how she looks.

  18. Yeah! I LOVE her! Her style rocks and her legs go on for days!

  19. I don't even think she looks that great when she's styled for events. The clothes usually look meh on her, and she looks less than thrilled to be wearing them.

@Robert, seriously? One of the best actresses of her generation!?! If that's true, then we have a long period of crap movies coming our way.

  20. I agree with you, @Robert. Looking forward to everyone seeing her in On The Road & Snow White. I think she's going to be awesome. I also really like her style & love her most recent outfit she wore in Vegas yesterday for CinemaCon.... super cute!!

  21. Now this is amazing, a young woman who never looks comfortable in anything other than jeans is best dressed...what a crock !

  22. Well said Enty, this is shameless whoring for readers by Glamour. Maybe they should rename the magazine Myopia?

I thought she was a boy through most of the movie Panic, although she was perfect as Jodie Foster's daughter. Best dressed woman, you say? Hmmm, doesn't sound very sincere does it?

    ReplyDelete
  24. So, she's best dressed woman because she wears jeans, t-shirts, and chucks?

Wow. The bar for fashion has really been set low, lately, hasn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  25. what a stupid choice...but Timebob nailed it...it's a pr move for plugging a film.

that aside, nothing wrong w/ converse, i'm a huge fan--but KS has absolutely no idea how to style them. poor thing has no fashion sense, innate or learned. #sheneedsme

  26. Maybe this is a turn to a more casual fashion sense...but above grunge.

  27. p.s. agree with Jennifer Lawrence being "Miss It" at the moment. She's fabulous.

Well, I better go put on some makeup because I'm pretty sure that if this is the way things are going, the media will arrive at any moment now to congratulate me on being named "Best Dressed Senior Citizen".

  29. She's also on the cover of ElleUK, with a god-awful hair style.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, I do think she looks better than Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet. To me, this is an award for her stylist, and for her for being smart enough to not bitch and just wear the clothes! But she has not personal style, at least not yet.

  31. I don't really consider Glamour to be the fashion authority. They do have articles and what not relating to fashion, but they tend to focus more on retooling last month's orgasm tips into something fresh and new for the new issue. It's the same thing each month. "Could your gyno's fast food habits be harming your uterus?" "Turn him on by waxing your muff into a heart shape!"

    ReplyDelete
  32. you can wear chucks and jeans and still look fashionable...I like to think I do it quite well. she does not.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't worship K. stew like Ted C. Does. I was feeling might lonely in my feelings of dislike towards her. Best dressed? I don't even know what to say about that besides whatttttt?

I am currently wearing elastic-waist black pants (feeling especially fat today), a purple knit t-shirt, black ballet flats, no make-up, and my hair in a ponytail. I expect Glamour to show up in my office at any moment now to name me "Best Dressed Middle-Aged Bitch."

  35. Why is everyone bagging on a girl that was voted best dressed? Who cares how she dresses in 'real life'? The magazines never vote someone in for dressing for everyday - it's all red carpet hoopla stuff anyway. At least she dresses how she wants on her own time and doesn't care what people think. On the red carpet she always looks great and has a bit of an edge. thumbs up by me.

  36. I'm a big fan of her clothing most of the time. When she's working, she dresses very well. Off work she looks a lot like a wealthy young person. Her shoots for fashion magazines always look really good. I think her attitude is what's off-putting to most people, but Glamour must have been thinking of how she looks at events.

  38. I like the way she dresses, Converse and all! I'm always in favor of not giving a shit what others think.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't actually think she's "best dressed" on the red carpet either, because she's always so visibly miserable to be wearing dresses. I don't think you can be called well dressed if the clothes are wearing you instead of you wearing them.

  40. Mooshki, remember when she wore Spanx on Letterman? The awkwardness of seeing her dressed like a girl is part of what I love about her.

  42. This was an online poll, that's really the only way she's ever won any sort of award.
