Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are joining the huge line of celebrities that have announced they are pregnant this year. I believe the number is even higher than last year which seemed like a record. Star power might be higher from last year's announcements. Obviously Jessica Simpson is selling her baby photos or they probably would have already released something. I'm wondering how much Beyonce and Jay-Z would have got if they had sold. I bet they would have got about $250K which is so low compared to a few years ago that Jay probably said he spends more than that on champagne when he goes out so why bother. Back in the day Christina Aguilera got $2M. Yes, you saw that right. $2M. She was the one that burst the bubble because no one cared. Somehow Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony sold their souls and got Kneepads to shell out $6M for their baby photos. So, $250K for Beyonce and jay-Z. Sounds harsh. Nicole Richie got $1M for photos of Harlow and was offered $50K for the photos of her second baby.
I don't know how I got into baby photo prices. Anyway, congratulations to Anna and Chris.

ReplyDeleteYou're probably right about Jessica selling her baby photos. I read yesterday she's already inked a $3 million deal with Weight Watchers to manage her post-baby weight loss. For someone who (supposedly) was too dumb to know Chicken of the Sea is tuna, she's certainly savvy enough now.

ReplyDeleteUnless you're the Brange, I'm not sure your baby pics sell all that well. So, why not just do the SJP route and release them for free...then there isn't a bounty (anyone remember Alec Baldwin going postal on a pap hiding in the bushes?)...

ReplyDeleteI spent 20 years working in Pediatrics - frankly,unless a baby has a syndrome or something unusual, they pretty much all look alike (except hair color) for the first few weeks. Even in my family, it's hard to see a family resemblence the first few weeks. So why would anyone want pictures? Maybe when they get old enough to have an individual look to them.

ReplyDelete@Beth - Enty DID say that last year sometime. It was in Random Photos with the comment along the lines of "I hear Anna may be back on the market soon." The reason why this sticks with me is that it was like just a week before that a pic was posted of Anna PAQUIN with pretty much the exact same comment. So at the time I figured Enty had just mixed his Anna's up. And now both of them announce being pregnant within weeks of each other. Strange coincidence...

Anna went to HS with a friend of a friend and her husband. At a Christmas party this year or last, Anna kept hitting on the friends husband and was definitely on something.
