What former child star, who went on to marry an abusive athlete, is in the grips of a terrifying cancer scare? The actress won’t go public until the findings are positive, but she’s been a nervous wreck as she awaits the results.
I believe in one of their books - Tatum/McEnroe - they admit to verbal altercations, not physical. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly but I thought they broke up because of her drug use.
I thought that John McEnroe got custody of their kids because of Tatum's drug use. Wouldn't she have accused him of physical abuse then if there was any? If it's them, I think it would only be mental or emotional abuse.
More for the Tyson guess with Robin Givens than John McEnroe, who needed the patience of a saint to remain married to an addict like Tatum for as long as he was. And since, he's been married to Patty Smyth with nary a SCANDAL.
My first thought was Tatum. But now I can't help but wonder if it is Brooke. There was never a hint that Agassi was abusive, but he did later admit to being a drug user, and if she had tried to stop him then bam! Hope it isn't her because I like her alot.
I'm on the Robin Givens train. I don't believe either McEnroe or Agassi are abusive. Robin Givens WAS a child star and it's DOCUMENTED that Mike Tyson was abusive.
I didn't know Robin Givens had been a child star. According to wiki, she was born in 1964 and began acting in 1985 (on Cosby Show), which would have made her 21.
I don't doubt that McEnroe was verbally abusive to Tatum. I think their personalities were just not conducive to a healthy relationship. Probably why he's been able to maintain a relationship now is maturity as well as finding someone who can handle him/match him.
So I think Tatum is a good guess for this, but also Robin Givens, who was the first one who came to mind when I read this. Although I hate to say it (but hell this is a gossip blog) I dare say that there may be a lot of people who wont' be sorry to hear that news. Tyson is a thug, but she is a piece of work herself! Issues galore!!! Not a nice person.
I never heard a bad thing said about Agassi, even when he was drugging. Highly doubt he was abusive.
Her Wiki says "Years active 1978- present"... that said, it may not be Robin. However, if it is Tatum, wouldn't the Enquirer use different clues? There's so much out there about Tatum that why would they use her history with an "abusive athlete" as a clue? That's actually not fair to McEnroe if this blind is about Tatum.
Seems like almost every woman I know has a "breast cancer scare" about the time they hit 40. And then, after the biopsy, everything was really OK all along.
And those boob torture machines are from the middle ages, aren't they? What's up with that??
