Wow, I loved that! I love independent bookstores too. I have a paperback copy of It by Stephen King that's over 20 years old. I drag it out on beach trips and long flights. I love a paperback book; I can't bring myself to read a book on a electronic device yet.
*gulp*... Those were truly awesome and worth sharing! Totally brightened my day. As much as I love reading gossip and about the bizarre nature of society, it is so refreshing and good for the heart to see the bright side of humanity :)
So awesome. Thanks for posting this. On the linked site one picture shows kittens in a basket on a mans head. The second photo shows another cat, the momma?, still in the water. I hope that one made it to safety too.
@ Sacha I had the exact same thought about the mother cat in the water, I've been searching but I can't find any other photo's of this event. Cats's can swim, so let's hope that she made it ok and was reunited with her kittens!

truly awe-inspiring. I feel warmer and fuzzier than I have ever felt in my life. Oodles of warmth. Delightful.....and I also hope Mamma Pussycat made it to the shore.
The bookstore sign is from The Paradox bookstore in Wheeling WV. I believe it has been there since 1974. My father took us there for years and it is still there!

I've been having such a hard month that when I've seen this link elsewhere I refused to click. I didn't want to feel good. Today I decided to do it. I'm glad I did. I forget there are selfless people in the world sometimes.
