Christian Bale Breaks Down When Seeing Video Of Heath Ledger
There were not that many memorable moments at last night's MTV Movie Awards. Christian Bale though breaking down when he saw video of Heath Ledger was definitely moving.
Even looking suave as shit and ultra hip/cool he still comes out with these excited shit-eating happy grin on his face. He's just maintained this precious non-pretentious attitude about himself that I want to eat up with a spoon. And boy can sing too!
Oh yeah, and Christian Bale choking up was sweet and all but why do people do this thing where they give dudes this get outta jail free card when/if they cry or show emotions? Bale is a known abusive asshat- him holding back tears shows he has some feeling to him, not that he has humanity.
By all accounts, Bale and Ledger got along well. Both having young daughters probably played a part.
I think Bale got his get-out card when he really took himself to task for the Terminator Salvation tantrum on a radio talk show. That was one of the better self-aware moments I heard from a celebrity. That, along with coming across very well during his promo for The Fighter helped Bale tremendously.
I think the guy is wound too tight, but essentially decent.
It was sad seeing him have to hold his tears back. He's still a dickbag, but that kind of made me forget for a minute.

I think Bale is attractive (temper aside), but then I see his teeth and just can't.
