Fleetwood Mac Reuniting For Tour

To make sure they have enough money to make it comfortably through their elderly years, Fleetwood Mac has decided to go on tour again. It is the first time they have gone on tour since 2009. It actually feels much longer. Stevie Nicks let the news out which will probably make the rest of the band mad so they will probably postpone it a year just to tick off Stevie and make her look bad. For me, I don't need Fleetwood Mac. What I need is enough money where Stevie Nicks just lives in my basement and for three or four hours a day sings for me. She is the best. She can be a diva, but she could also fill books of kindness things she has done and she is a great singer and she is sexy and not afraid to spill all about everything.

  5. Didn't she fall off a stage because she's blind as a bat?

  6. She looks good!!! Nice to see someone rich and famous who's older (60+?) and doesn't have a jacked L.A. face.

  7. Rock on Gold Dust Woman!

  8. I love that live album they did when I was a freshman in uni.

  10. Sorry all... Stevie Nicks has always sounded like a dying cat to me . Her voice is just nails on a chalkboard.

  11. Saw them in the 70s and they gave the worst live performance I have ever seen. She was obviously blitzed.

  12. I have loved Stevie since I was a child. I have seen her in concert many times. She has a beautiful voice and soul. She was nothing but a class act when she mentored on American Idol this last season.

  13. The full reunion show, The Dance, was awesome. I think they've mended fences. The big question is: Will Christine McVie be joining them?

  14. Plastic surgeons are getting worse and worse at their job if aging celebrities are any indication. Stevie Nicks looks like the Spitting Image puppet heads in the Genesis "Land of Confusion" video. There's only a vague shadow of the Stevie Nicks we all remember left on her head.

  16. Love her however last time I heard her she was on The Voice and did not sound good at all, not sure what was up with her voice but it was painful.

  17. She has one of those 'love it or hate it' voices. I love it!

  18. She USED to have a good voice, like decades ago. I loved Fleetwood Mac back in the day. Nicks sounds like she's been sucking on cigarettes for 50 years. Shame.

  19. Here is the Stevie Nicks I remember. The "Dreams unwind love's a state of mind" finale of Rhiannon is right up there with the most powerful live performances in rock music history.

If you don't have 6 minutes to spare, drag the timer bar to the 4:00 minute mark & crank up the speaker volume.

  20. What was once, will never be again, her voice and her looks have both suffered. Check Mick Fleetwood, he hadn't gotten the news.

  21. It looks like she is wearing one of my friend's Pale Moon carved necklaces and that is awesome!

I would be willing to bet that Stevie has had no surgery. I know its hip to assume that everyone has, but that looks like her face to me. She's older, she's gained a little bit of weight, but she still looks like Stevie. She says that she's avoided suntanning since she turned 30, which is good because the drugs were aging her plenty.

I saw her last October in Anaheim, CA. She was awesome and I would love to see her solo again without the tall guy in front of me. I agree, either you love her voice or you hate it and I really love it. She is blind as a bat on stage, but she travels with a voice coach now and I think she sounds fairly good considering her age and past drug use.

  22. She can do no wrong in my eyes. Love her.

  23. I freaking LOVE Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks. I saw them in 2009 and it was a dream come true for me. I have been listening to them religiously since I was born. Fantastic!

  24. The dynamic between Stevie and Lindsay is still there. What a tragic love story they have. Would love to catch them live just once I grew up on them my dad was a fan.

Stevie is awesome, she gained a ton of weight being addicted to klonopin and kicked the habit and slimmed down. She got caught up in some bad doctors that were groupies and wanted to hear her rock stories and fed her drugs that she didn't need.

She is still a gorgeous woman and if she had work done,it was well done. She doesn't look too pulled back. For a woman in her sixties she is still hot.

  25. Interesting because I was listening to Marianne Faithfull last night and she sounds like a bleating goat too, lovely to look at I'm sure but both sound awful.

  26. I love FM, (ok, Fleetwood Mac and FM No Static at All by Steely Dan), but always think of the movie School of Rock now when I see Stevie. That was a great scene. Plus, I watched that movie one thousand times with my youngest :-).

  27. I've always loved Stevie, guess I hear what I want to hear cuz' she still sounds good to me. Of course I still worship at the feet of Joe Cocker.

  28. I LOVE STEVIE AND THE MAC!! Sadly, I doubt that Christine will be joining them. She seems utterly and completely retired from music, period. :-(

I think Stevie looks beautiful and untampered with as well. She stays out of the sun and stressed in a Kneepads Most Beautiful People issue that she's always washed her face before bed, no mater what. I think those two things plus tons of water are the key to good skin. Oh, and sleep.

Not sure how her looks OR her voice have suffered, Redd.

  29. I thought Stevie admitted to having had work done? Maybe not a complete facelift, but at least Botox and other stuff.

I used to LOVE her, but two things I've read about her bugged me. I thought she married her dead bf's husband to help raise their baby? I swear I didn't dream that story and it all got swept under the rug.

The other thing I read was an interview with her talking about how she and Lindsey play up their relationship to the audience and when it's all over she feels like " and they bought it again" I mean it may be true, but she doesn't have to make the fans feel stupid.

I wasn't a huge fan back in their heyday, but I did love The Dance. I wouldn't pay to see 'em though.

I actually liked Stevie more during the On The Edge of 17 and her solo time.

  30. Want to feel old?

    Stevie Nicks just turned 64.

    64!

    :-(

  31. Goat bleats! That's exactly it! I could never stand her either.

  32. Stevie's a little wackadoo (and talks too much) and I'm sure a lot of the stuff between her and Lindsay is exaggerated to keep the fans interested, but--dang--the version of "Silver Springs" on "The Dance" is just. so. awesome. I believe every word of it.

  33. @califblondy yes she maried Kim Anderson in 1983 but were divorced the following year. Kim was the husband of Robin, Stevie's best friend who died of leukemia. I guess they both realized it was a disaster.

She has also said in interviews that the love of her life was Joe Walsh. She wrote Your Song for him. Maybe they are playing the Stevie Lindsay romance up on stage but damn they had some crazy love story and triangle with Mick Fleetwood.

  37. timebob got all the accurate information. She was 30 when she first hit radio airplay (and looked 21). She looks very lovely for freaking 64 and I'm guessing Meg Ryan at 50 wishes she looks as good. (Stevie never messed with her lips or had implants above her neck - (cheek).) Enty seems to have a serious crush on her! Who knew?

  39. "I used to LOVE her, but two things I've read about her bugged me. I thought she married her dead bf's husband to help raise their baby? I swear I didn't dream that story and it all got swept under the rug."

Yep, she married her BFF Robin's husband Kim Anderson. I think it's a tragic story. They did it so that Robin's baby son would have a mother. They didn't do it to be creepy, and it was just a mistake from the start. Super sad because they meant well. IIRC, Stevie's said she hasn't seen Kim or Matthew (the baby who is now almost 30) since.

  40. I've seen them many times and they never disappoint!

  41. It isn't a reunion without Christine Perfect.

  42. I love her and Fleetwood Mac, but her voice is totally shot up now. She seems like such an interesting person. Fleetwood Mac's music is amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  43. She got nodes on her vocal cords and that's why her voice is so gravelly. She gave up smoking years ago. At least she never got married and had kids just to use them as props....

  44. I've no interest in seeing Fleetwood Mac although I'm a fan of several songs.

The thing about Stevie though is that if you look back at that time, women rockers with mass appeal were few and far between. There was Linda Ronstadt the Wilson sisters from Heart and that's about it.

Stevie was interesting and therefore a stand out. She created a unique, feminine stage persona. She wrote some great songs - several with very interesting, strong and somewhat frightening female characters - Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, Sisters of the Moon, Edge of Seventeen. This wasn't the standard back then.

In my book, Stevie is a package deal and while her voice may no longer be what it was, she's always used it to convey the emotional aspects of her song/stories.

  46. A fan for about 30 years. She looks lovely for 64.
Remember watching some award show a couple of years ago and she humbly sang b/u for Taylor Swift- her own songs. I was like wth and why? Her legacy stands and I love her voice!

  47. I watched an interview on Geraldo---when he had his night time show a million years ago. I am positive he had Lindsay Buckingham's girlfriend on--the one he was with after he and Stevie broke up. She was talking about how abusive he was. I have hated his guts ever since...and often wondered if he used Stevie as a punching bag. I love her...and her voice...even if some of you think of bleating goats when she sings. At least she has a distinctive sound...unlike Belinda Carlisle who always sounded like a chipmunk on speed when she sang both with the Go Gos and solo.

  48. She looks wonderful!

I have always been a huge fan. Still remember teenage me dancing around my bedroom to Edge of Seventeen.

  49. I love her, even though she's nutty, but I've always thought that Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham sounded AWESOME together.

  50. Yes, I love Stevie nicks and Fleetwood Mac too and repeatedly play Rooms of Fire and Tusk. I have never seem them in concert, but would love too in Australia :)
